BBC Bolton Photos. a bit OT
Anyone know how I download the high quality photos off this site, for my own personal pleasure of course:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-ma ... r-12285376" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'd rather support Bolton than be you.

Other than right click, "save picture as.." ?
Re: BBC Bolton Photos. a bit OT
There's probably an easier way, but if you open Page Source (Ctrl U), and scroll down towards the bottom, you'll find links to them all there. Copy and paste them into your browser, then save as from there.

Nice badge on this one ...

Personally, & it may just be me, I think that'd be nice on our current outfit.
Does anyone agree ?
But what's with the elephant ??

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm trying to work out where this pic was taken. I'm guessing - Goodison.bobo the clown wrote:Nice badge on this one ...

I don't remember Goodison with an open end... But, you're right - it's not Burnden...

I was thinking that that might be wrought ironwork along the front of the upper tier, but on closer inspection it looks like it's some sort of ad-hoc scoreboard. Also, there's a track running aound the pitch, so I'm proper stumped now.William the White wrote:I don't remember Goodison with an open end... But, you're right - it's not Burnden...

I think it's Stamford Bridge pre-redevelopment. That had a running track and then a speedway track. I think the scoreboard is actually the News Of The World ad.

I thought it was a running track, then I thought maybe it wasn't because there's sh*tloads of grass the other side of it, but on balance, there's not a lot else it could be.Bruce Rioja wrote:I was thinking that that might be wrought ironwork along the front of the upper tier, but on closer inspection it looks like it's some sort of ad-hoc scoreboard. The only running track Division 1 ground I can think oif is Stamford Bridge. They had open ends too.Bruce Rioja wrote:I was thinking that that might be wrought ironwork along the front of the upper tier, but on closer inspection it looks like it's some sort of ad-hoc scoreboard. Plus we're in our 'home' strip', so not a team who wear white in their shirts, so that'd be my bet.

Aye, I think you're right with Stamford Bridge, chaps. I remember the ends behind the goals being miles away from the pitch because of the track. Though I would venture that by the time the picture of Lofty was taken, the stand on Wee Greeny's photo had been demolished and replaced with this two-tier effort.

a proper symbol in comparison to the sh*te that we have now that's been designed to look good at the top of some headed paper.bobo the clown wrote:Nice badge on this one ...

I like the elephant.
Seriously though I'd have that badge back tomorrow. It would be another tribute to Nat and it could stay on the shirt forever.
- and we could copyright it.
