If we estimate that there is an average of 3000 posts per thread thats roughly 120000 posts on the transfer window, discussing a mere handful of players who have actually moved (apart from Sunderland of course).
Depressing!
I estimate that 78,459 of those are made by you...

Coyle: I’d sure love Shaun By MARTIN BLACKBURN

OWEN COYLE would love to sign Shaun Wright-Phillips - but fears he may be priced out of a deal again.
Bolton made a move for the out-of-favour Manchester City winger in January but the package to get him to the Reebok proved beyond them.
City were looking for around £3.7million back then while the ex-Chelsea man earns wages of around £60,000 per week.
Bolton chief Coyle said: "Shaun's a terrific player but there are a number of things that must happen for a move to come off.
"So, as yet, there's not been any dialogue with Manchester City about Shaun, a fee or otherwise.
"I'm reluctant to speak about other team's players but there's no doubt he's very talented."
A move for Wright-Phillips would become more likely if Bolton can sell their star man Gary Cahill, who is wanted by Arsenal and Spurs.

BOLTON, Rangers and QPR are fighting it out for Motherwell’s £700,000 striker Jamie Murphy.

I'd punt £2m on that David Goodwillie rather than £700,000 on whoever Murphy isn't

Aye, but then you'd have to spend the £700k on Murphy when Badwillie and Alonso are both in stir before the season is up...Lofthouse Lower wrote:I'd punt £2m on that David Goodwillie rather than £700,000 on whoever Murphy isn't

Ha people seem to think I'm depressed. I'm really not. I just think its bizarre that so much effort goes into discussing transfers over the summer when nothing at all is happening.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Does nothing please anyone in your household???BWFC_Insane wrote:Probably, though not too sure the Missus would be that happy!Lofthouse Lower wrote:You need a girlfriend, Mr Insane
We can barely discuss rumours as there are hardly any around this summer, certainly compared to years gone by!

Remember...waps out, or it doesnt count !
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
I'd buy that for a dollar.
The only reason we haven't got more rumours to go on is because
1. We don't have Sam Allardyce any more and therefore are not linked with absolutely everyone
2. We don't have HWSNBN and are not linked with absolutely everyone

So Matt Mills off the market. Good/bad, what you think?Sky Sports sources understand Reading have accepted a bid in the region of £5million from Leicester City for defender Matt Mills.

Coyle's kind of said we do like him but we aren't really doing anything about it all at the same time. It would be nice to have some cover for LCY. Not sure if SWP would be right for that though. Mind the 3 letter abbreviations of names would make life easier!thebish wrote:The SWP rumours don't appear to be lying down and sticking their stiff, dead legs in the air...

Here is some press stuff from the BN (DSB could have a quotes/not quotes field day with it....)
http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... Euro_star/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... s___Coyle/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
First article Coyle never actually says that we didn't make an approach for Thiago this year (and I believe we did despite what Iles says here).
Second article is actually quite interesting. Obviously he has some resources to bring players in but like Allardyce obviously wants specific targets rather than the likes of SWP, Bellamy, Keane etc that it sounds like we've been offered in one capacity or another. Very much like an Allardyce style comment (I could have brought X players in but I only want to sign the right ones). Which is a good policy in general but come August Coyle will no doubt get stick if he hasn't added and we start badly with Davies and Klasnic up top! Easy for us to say though, he's the one who has to live by expensive mistakes or otherwise. Again though in the second article it states
"And the manager is optimistic that some business can still be done before the first pre-season friendly on English soil, against Bradford City on July 24, even if Cahill remains in his ranks"
Nothing in Coyle's quotes in that piece indicate anything of the sort! Hmmm. Good sign though that he has a list of targets irrespective of the Cahill deal. Worry will be what is plan B if he fails to land them?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
