KD won't get anything, well known fact. Keep plugging Kev. Being out-shoved, out-lucked and frankly, well, out-played. Game of two halves? Sure hope so. We're making them look a good side.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

There is a good chance we can get something out of this actually. There are gaps at the back, particularly down either wing. Petrovs having most effective game for a while, maybe with Lee on later we can hurt them down the right a bit. Davo/Sturridge linking up well, shame Davo can't finish for toffee. Alonso has been decent as well so thats a Sammy Lee positive. Our biggest weakness is what we all knew it would be, centre mid. Cohen looks like a player who hasn't played premiership football in his life, he doesn't know where he is positionally at all in this system. LEaves a lot for Muamba to do and the lad is lacking in confidence.

Phillips, yeah knew he would score, lord knows how he does it, he must be about 80? Poor defending on the corner, he was Steinsons man but not sure if he was 'passed' to Cohen. Either way pair of 'em at fault, and half asleep.

Refs got most things right for the record, Davies has been giving lots of cheap fouls away, as has Larsson for them.

Not playing too badly, though we do have a look of a team with one eye on a semi final. Can't see us winning many 50-50's in the middle! Coyle will rile them up at half time though no doubt.

How that remained 1-0 I'll never know.

Cohen is far too slow for this game. Coyle was going mental at him to get forward. Thing is he's in there by default so we are stuck with him.

Elmander wasteful. Shame is, Coyle will probs bottle it and leave him on.

All over em towards the end of the 1st half and with some better finishing could have been 1-1.

Everything going over the top or down the wings. Down the left we're getting some joy but the right is stopping due to Elmander/Steinsson. The latter more so

Lee on for Elmander, lets get at em and give it a go.

I'm trying Bobo, as for Cohen, I'd have given Taylor another go or even dare I say it Blake?

Half Time. We just weren't in the game for the first 25 mins. Looked like we were playing without any central midfielders.

after a while, Moo started to get into the game but is Cohen even on the field.

Positives:

Alonso looking good on the left and is a willing runner

Petrov getting in some good crosses

Sturridge looks a big threat and is likely to score.

We seem to be taking control of the game and can get at least a point out of it.

So sounds like we came back in to it towards the end of the half, let's hope that we can continue that after the break after a kick up the arse from Coyle.

Blake wouldn't be any more involved than Cohen. Not quick enough. Taylor isn't a centre mid either. Its best to get Cohen in and hope he gets up to speed, mentally and physically. He clearly doesn't 'get' how we play at the moment, we've changed the mentality of midfield this season and he hasn't been involved. Stick with him for today and hope he improves for next week! Maybe get Taylor and Lee on in the second and get Cohen and Elmo off. We just have to stick with Cohen by default I guess...

yes, cohen and elmo need to make way. There is no way we can win if out midfield is left as it is right now.
