Weren't we asking for 3mil plus appearance money? I wonder if this offer includes the latter.

£3 million ?? Tell them we've thrown that piddling amount away over the last month of the season.
At least £5 million.

If Coyle has opted to stick with Jussi, then it is a fair offer I think. 'Keepers rarely go for much more than £3mil anyway, and in this case Wigan want to buy, we want to sell and Al Habsi wants to go play some football.

£3m plus freeing up of his quite sizeable wages.

Seems a fair deal. Would be nice to squeeze a bit more, but we'll now see whether Coyle really wants to keep him.

We have. If its in addition, then effectively he was a try-before-you-buy deal that could garner us £4m. And, as I say, would give us another couple of million for the wage budget. Seems a good deal from where I'm sat.

Hadn't the pies already paid us a fee for the year.

We need to be realistic, and for a pro with 1 year top flight experience, a year expiring on his contract, after which he can go for nowt - £3m is as good a fee as we'll be able to command

As would any of us, in a heartbeat, but let's try to keep the discussion within the realm of possibility.

Well I for one won't settle for anything less than the pair of them.

Make it £5m and I might consider it.

Think it's pretty realistic, both of them, £5m and a bag of Ye Olde Pastie Shoppe Pasties and they got themselves a deal
Pfffft.

Villa are looking for a keeper now Freidal has gone to Spurs and have shown interest if the media is to be believed. Bidding war on the cards maybe.

According to Al-Habsi's twitter- well someone translated it, he was speaking in Elvish or the language of Mordor again- apparently said that we've rejected two bids of 3M from Villa and Wigan- that we're holding out for 5M but that if he's number 1 he'd be happy to stay.
