Yeah just a couple of people repeating it too I think. And things tend to be crazy on twitter, just a few hours a go moyes was a dead cert on there!jimbo_bwfc wrote:To be fair mate, was just one Celtic fan. Easily escalated between BWFC twitter contingent probably due to craziness of it. Doubt he'd go that far, even if he did want it. That's lowest of the low as far as I'd be concerned.LiOC wrote:Rumours are going around twitter that coyle has resigned. Probably completely unfounded.
If he did want the job badly, I can't be the only person thinking, the 7-9M in compo would be much more attractive than Coyle. He's good, he's not THAT good.
Schtevie Mac's Super White Army!
Quitting would be the lowest of the low and hopefully if he does leave that wedge of compensation would heal the pain.
Dreading who our replacement would be though!!!

He had initially been ruled out by Villa because of the cost of extricating the Scot from the contract he signed at the Reebok Stadium last year.

Can't see Coyle leaving myself. Moyes' name is all over that job.

I can't see it either when he really has a chance to put his mark on this team. But there ain't much loyalty in football anymore.

If Moyes gets the job the media attention will turn to "Everton want Coyle".
It's going to be a long summer.

Ally mccleish has jumped up to 2nd favorite (behind moyes). Villa fans will be unhappy with that

Won more in his career than Allardyce and Coyle put together.
I reckon if Villa got Moyes then Bolton would be pretty safe. No way Everton can afford to release Coyle from his Bolton contract. They'll probably go after Hughes/McClaren. If they don't fancy it then someone like a Curbishley.
Allardyce must be kicking himself with all these good Premier League jobs coming up straight after he dealt out at West Ham.

I had a dream (nightmare) last night. Went to bed thinking about the Coyle thing and dreamt we got Mick McCarthy as new manager. It's the truth; woke up very depressed.

So he's not gone yet?
No point worrying. We get decent compensation, then appoint someone else. Brendan Rodgers. Paul Lambert. Eddie Howe. Steve McClaren. Mixu Paatelainen. Fabien DeFrietas. Dean Holdsworth. Cesar Menotti. Me.
Any of them would do.

I'd say widely considered within (people who know ) football.
Fine record as a manager too, unless we start recruiting players with the supposed ability and ego's of the "golden generation" England squad.
