Playing whilst injured is never big or clever but considering we could have been running a midfield of Cohen and Gardner give the boy a break
Pfffft.

i allways find it confusing how some bolton fans critique muamba as lets be honest hes never going to be a passer like xavi or have the shot of scholes but neither do 99% of quality defensive mids fact of the matter is hes a young english talent and much better than most here give him credit for! :whack:

He's a fine athlete, and occasionally tackles well, but I feel that 98% of his game is deeply flawed.

Funny thing is, his teammate was in the changing room at the time.

My problem with Fabrice's shooting (his passing being terrible is a bit of a myth) is that he can do it, he just lacks composure. Maybe it was just the law of averages, but IIRC he scored a cracker against Doncaster in a pre-season friendly when he first signed.

I think this is right. I believe it's a confidence issue - if he can get a couple of goals in the first few games things might improve for him.

All in the head though isn't it. Would say a lot of lower league players can train with a football and do what most of what the bog standard Prem players can, but they just make wrong decisions, lose composure, not mentally strong enough, bottle it etc.

Note I'm not saying Muamba is lower league quality :D

I remember when he played his first pre season game for us, away somewhere, can't remember where, and he scored a belter. I thought we had a new Per Frandsen. :(

Anyone see his celebration then when Welbeck scored? Love the guy!
