Never the most talented but always tried. The goal against Arsenal will live longer in the memory than he will.

Can't knock him, just wasn't good enough for premier league week in/week out. Will never forget his first game back after Avi died, F.A cup tie i think it was, or that goal against Arsenal. Always nice to see an ex player land on his feet after being released, just as it looks like Joey O'Brien has done at West Ham.

Tried hard, lacked ability.
He couldn't tackle so wasn't a defensive mid, wasn't the best passer, and didn't get in the goalscoring positions enough to be effective as an attacking midfielder in the prem. When you can't oust Elmander and Gardner at centre mid, your time is truly up.

Tits
Good to see Benni McCarthy took being released by West Ham, then being called 'fat' by Karren Brady, with good grace.

When asked for his reaction to Brady's comments, McCarthy said: "There is the devil with a set of tits."

Perhaps Benni. But unlike you, she's supposed to have tits.
