David N'Gog Signs
Woohoo, no more relying on Robbie Blake! Shame the official site can't spell his name correctly......
Bolton Wanderers have signed striker David Ngog from Liverpool on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old is the eighth player to move to the Reebok Stadium this summer.
Ngog has three years' worth of experience in the Barclays Premier League, having first moved to England from Paris St Germain in 2008.
During his time at Anfield, the pacey frontman netted a total of 19 goals. On the international scene, Ngog has earned honours for France from Under-16 level through to the Under-21 setup, where he made 18 appearances for his country since making his debut in 2008.
Speaking about the signing of the striker, Bolton boss Owen Coyle said: "David will be a great addition to our squad.
"He is quick, can score goals and he knows what the Barclays Premier League is all about. Added to that there is his European experience with Liverpool in the Champions and Europa Leagues.
"He has represented his country at a host of junior levels and he will offer our team further attacking options. We are delighted to bring another quality, young prospect to Bolton."
Before capturing Ngog, Coyle had also signed Darren Pratley, Nigel Reo-Coker, Chris Eagles, Tyrone Mears, Tuncay, Dedryck Boyata and Gael Kakuta since the summer transfer window opened.

Fairly happy with this one, don't think he was given a fair crack at Liverpool. Think Coyle can bring the best out of him.
Let's not pinch the scousers song for him though.

I'd be very happy to be proven wrong, but I fear that this is a poor signing. From what I saw of him at Liverpool, I think we'll be pulling our hair out very soon at his inability to put the ball in the back of the net. I really do hope to be proven wrong.
Hope is what keeps us going.

Surely he's really a 90s pop hit by Hanson?
Re: David N'Gog Signs
He actually has a better Premier League scoring record than Sturridge did pre-loan
Sturridge had 6 in 47, N'Gog 9 in 63.

I think he is a very good young player. Liverpool never gave him the chance, and he still scored quite a few for them.

Re: David N'Gog Signs
21 starts, 42 sub appearances
Sturridge had 7 starts combined for Chelsea and Man City, with 40 appearances off the bench

Stats here, 19 in 92 appearances for Liverpool, a lot that will be from the bench.

Re: David N'Gog Signs
I've been getting texts from a Liverpool fan all day reveling in the fact they've got rid of N'Gog for £4mill! Seems an awful lot for a guy that I can't see starting, just got to hope he bangs in more goals that Carroll this season.
