Swans v Trotters

Post by Lennon'sEleven » Thu Oct 27, 2011 8:27 am

Right - about time we had an official match thread, methinks.

Encouraging signs from the Arsenal game, but still another loss to add to the collection. I'm hopeful we can pick something up here - after this game we will have played the three promoted teams, and it'd be nice to have picked up six points from them.

We don't do draws, so on that principle it's 3 points or nowt.

I'd goo:

Jussi
Boyata, Cahill, Wheater, Bibi
Muamba
Eagles Reo-Coker Kakuta
Tuncay
NGog

But that's just me. Fingers crossed for a 1-2 scoreline.

THink I'd go with Klasnic instead of Tuncay - but that's only based on 45mins worth of Tuncay against Norwich. Is Boyata going to be fit? If not I'd give Riley the nod against dopy Steinsson or putting Robbo at RB.
Had to laugh at the 1-2 prediction. You seem to think we won't keep a clean sheet! Just out of curiosity when was the last time we managed it -in the Prem?

Not a single club has scored a single goal in the league at Swansea all season.
Neither will we.

Just sayin

That said, it's about time we stopped this runaway train. Maybe, just maybe our defence will have a good day and be blessed with a bit of luck and manage a clean sheet. A 0-0 draw to kick start our comeback would be nice.

Yes we will...its just that we'll have already conceded 4 before we do :)

Good point well made.

But by that logic, they won't concede all season. Which they will.

But we won't keep a clean sheet, that's almost certain.

I'll stick to my guns and say we'll edge it. My optimism knows no bounds.

If we're being super defensive away from home ala similar shape to how it sounds like we were in the week, I think, similar to Owen's Eleven..

Jussi
Steinsson, Cahill, Wheater, Bibi
Muamba Reo-Coker
Eagles Tuncay Kakuta
NGog

Riley was snubbed in favour of Steinsson at Arsenal, that's not a good sign for him playing on Saturday. Klasnic could easily replace Tuncay, and probably will, but I want to see Tuncay play in the middle and see what he can do.

I feel sorry for the lad. If you're behind Steinsson in the pecking order then you must be shit.

Its a winnable game. Stay solid, absorb pressure and hit on the break.

I think tuncay got to play up top how can you prove your self when you haven't had a proper chance plus he as played out of position

If coyle's gonna go 442 it's got to be him and NGOG up front davo should be nowhere near the team and klasnic to come on last 20 mins orso we know he can produce the goods as a sub he did last season he has't convinced me he's a starter

got to stick with jussi in goal but stop punting it to no fvcker

Defintley Wheats and Cahill at the back Bibi and Steinsson full backs

Reo-coker and Muamba centre mids (Reo-coker captain)

Eagles and petrov on the wings

And we got good young players at the club to come on so let's use them Riley,Kakuta,Sparky instead of Davo, blake, and robbo

And most of all keep the ball on the fvcking deck

I'm going for 2-1 to us

let' fvcking av it

QPR, first game this season.

I'd take a point in this to be honest.. It'd be a good point too.

Swansea will have a LOT of the ball, so we need to press them high up the pitch. Which is why I'd play Muamba. I'd probably shape up similarly to how we did the other night.

But that means disappointing Klasnic, who by all accounts, played well enough to warrant a place in the side.

I'd go 4-4-2 in this one, but given the way they play Moo AND Reo-Coker have to start. I'd have Klas and N'Gog up top, because otherwise I can't see how we'll ever score. I'd not be against 4-5-1 though N'Gog up top, and I'd go MD in behind, though I've a feeling OC might pick man with point to prove Darren Pratley. Could come in handy that, given I don't think half the teams have heard of half of Swansea's players, and they haven't played enough games yet this year for the scouts to figure them out.

Are you all really thinking KD won't figure somewhere in this? My money's on him maybe starting or coming on with half an hour to play. We  shall no doubt see.
