OK, good news. I thought Alonso was dire last season, but since Robinson redefined the word I'd be happy to have him back in the team.BWFC_Wyles wrote:Played 90 minutes yesterday and said via twitter "roll on Sunday". Re: Bolton v Stoke
Can somebody explain what is meant by our "reserve" team. In yesterday's game Alonso was the only one who could vaguely be considered for first team selection the rest being perpetual "reserve" or "youth team" standard. Where were the likes of Bogdan, Knight, Riley, Tuncay, Muamba, Kevin Davies, Klasnic - i.e. all those who didn't start the last game? They are the true reserves - when do they get any match practice?

Alonso reminds me a bit of Mickey Dolenz from the Monkees so I'll give him a run in the side on the strength of that.
What a hero, What a man...... Ooooh, what a bad foul...

Should be a Pleasant Valley Sunday, then!
Re: Bolton v Stoke

Alonso always comes across as a 'work in progress'. Talented enough like but needs some time before becoming a regular PL player...question is whether we have that time, isnt his trial just around the corner??

Can anyone tell me one thing Alonso has shown he is remotely good at?
Re: Bolton v Stoke
I think we will win against Stoke I don't think it will be pretty ( in a way I hope it isn't ) but I think we will win after what's been said in the changing room (allegedly) our lot have a point to prove to the fans the club and themselves so I think we will win

Re: Bolton v Stoke
Reo Coker has cained a load of the players in the dressing room after the Swansea match.
Something needed saying, just a pity that a new lad has to say it rather than, you know, the club captain or the manager

Naa think he just said a few words.
Be nice if it actually does any good but will it suddenly stop us leaking 3 goals a game, without any tactical input to add to it..? hmmm

Coker has been wearing the look of a man who can't quit believe what he's gotten himself into. But then if you were part of a midfield partnership with Pratley you'd probably have to unload now and then too.

If coyle is serious on change then Reo Coker HAS to be made captain. Nowt particularly against SKD just that he isnt a guaranteed starter and appears to have very few clear leadership qualities.

In line with previous captains.
Jay Jay - who tried to lead by example
Kevin Nolan - who pointed and shouted to no visible effect.
