Thats nothing.
We actually paid compensation for Gary Megson. Any enquiry surely has to start there.

This has been bobbing around for ages, and is clearly utter pish. There, I've laid my reputation on the line! Brave.

haha brilliant!!
Being serious though, a club over £100m in debt and these kind of payments *allegedly* going on is a cause for concern. Especially if *allegedly* the Chairman is involved..........

Certain things in that report don't ring true. Therefore I'm with Pru's assessment!

Re: Cheat
Why are our OWN Fans trying to stir up shit for the club that isn't even there?! Oh I know.... Because some semi-well known agent on twitter replied to one them, so now they're best buds!!! Bell-ends!
But in this case it wasn't. Nor is it a legal requirement. Next...On a deal like the one with McCann, the commission would normally be in the region of 5%. Yet the sum of £300,000 paid to SEM represents 30% of a £1 million transfer fee.
So, they've deemed it fine? That's ermm.. Fine then.. NEXT!However his complaint to the FA, where Gartside is a board member, was not acted upon. “The FA looked at this transfer deal, found that there was serious wrong doing, passed it over to their legal department and it’s been squashed,” he explains
How can they prove that there was nobody there? Did they walk around the premises with an independant adjudicator and a camcorder?“I’ve got evidence of him changing the contracts going to the FA. We’ve physically proved that it was impossible for that date on the contract to be valid because nobody was there on that day.

Re: Cheat
I'd check the takings from Greenhalgh's bakery in Horwich. if there's an extra £300k in their takings then we've got Gartside band to rights.

Aye BB is right, who the hell are these people stirring things up, whilst also pretending to be Bolton fans?
Cocks!
Cocks!
Re: Cheat
I dunno, if folk had genuine, real evidence of dodgy going-ons at the club, and they exposed them, would they be cocks? I don't think so. What makes this lot cocks is they are stirring up bullshit.

Re: Cheat
I've no idea whether its true or not.
But I'm certainly not of the mind to take the FA's word at face value on a ruling about one of its own board memebrs.

That would be one hell of a lot of meat & potato pies .... even if they insist on calling them potato & meat.Andy Waller wrote:I'd check the takings from Greenhalgh's bakery in Horwich. if there's an extra £300k in their takings then we've got Gartside band to rights.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Cheat
The first major issue I have with that 'report' is that they claim McParland sorted the McCann deal.
However, McCann signed a whole month before McParland was appointed.
Which kind of makes me think they didn't do their homework very well if at all!

My biggest problem is that the title of the thread should be proceded with 3 large bangs to a drum, or drums.
