Re: gary cahill would you rather >>
I would like to see cahill extend his contract but he isnt going to do that because he wants to play for a big club and he know's that there is genuine interest from spurs, chelsea, so he know's by letting his contract run down that his dream will become a reality this summer. So i think we must sell him to get a reasonable fee for the last remaining months of his contract, i don't think we can refuse anything over 6m personally if we get 8m then we will have done well. With some of that money i think we will approach city for nedum onuoha and that would be a good replacement for cahill.

He states (in today's BN) that he's just focussing on Bolton right now, and I believe that. He also wants bigger things in the future, and good luck to him. What we do must be what's best for BWFC in the long term, whatever that may be. GC will most likely go his way and we'll no doubt replace him and pass on. Not a problem yet but no doubt the club have it in hand. Right now it's all just speculation.

I'd rather us swap him for a twenty two year old Paolo Maldini, but that's as unlikely as the first option so I'd rather we sell him for whatever we can get in January (which I actually think will be a decent amount (5m-ish) as long as two or three clubs want him)

3. I'd rather see a Cahill-less Bolton in the Prem than an England centre half at the Reebok in the Championship.

The fact remains that our defensive record is poor with him in the team. He is a good player but not as great as he is made out to be, and Knight is completely the wrong partner for him. IMO Ricketts with Knight is a better partnership. Cahill and Wheater might be a good partnership but we wont see if for long...

I'm a bit confused on the poll, is option 1 the question or an additional option?
If the case is sell in January or leave on a free, I think it all depends on what position we're in in January. In my opinion we're starting to finally get a first choice back four, especially if Joe Riley continues from where he left off against Stoke. I personally would rather keep him and see him walk out on a free, the reason being I think we'd only get about £5m for him in January anyway, and the difference he could make in league positioning himself, considering how tight the league is, could make up for it in prize money at the end of the season.
I wouldn't want to risk getting £5m in, not getting a decent enough replacement and having Zat Knight cause major cock ups and us get relegated. This is a time where we desperately need our best players.

The lunatic fringe is growing and, with hoboh aboard, how can we be wrong? Oh well, never mind....

Shall we have a poll about it ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If he's playing in the Championship he won't be an England player.
Plus, If Bolton go down he'll move on anyway.
Plus why does option 2 only mention a nominal fee - why not sell him for billions?
Plus, I originally struggled to understand the question; how could he resign but still play, and then it dawned on me that it might be that he re-signed (as in signed again) rather than resigned (as in handed in his resignation).
