Bolton v Baggies - Match thread

Post by William the White » Mon Nov 14, 2011 12:15 am

One of the grounds I've visited most often - I used to live in Wednesbury, and watched the whites at W Brom, Wolves and - shamefully - lose at Walsall...

5-0 at home v Stoke - still in the bottom three - we need to build on the last result...

2-0 Whites...

3pts would be a great springboard and would propel us up into midtable. Would probably be happy enough with a point though too.

Crazy fact, we've not drawn a game since Newcastle away on February 26th.

Would take a point tbh.
But I can see another big scoreline, in our favour

So negative :whack:

I'm thinking the Stoke game was a turning point in the season. Besides, Baggies are not a very good club this season. Eloy's prediction: 2-1 for us.

I'm having a huge fry up, a few drinks on the train, watching the Superwhites win 7-0, a few more drinks on the train home, out for a curry, slip the missus a crippler and then pass out. I'm not entertaining any other outcome than that.

This will be the big test. A game we should be capable of getting something out of, after a morale boosting 5-0 win.....

Either onwards and upwards or back to square one!

don,t think we've turned the corner by any means
Pratley in for Davies (K) only change for me
got to play with same high tempo- won't - get beat
3-1

If that's the line-up I predict a win.
If OC buggers about with the teamsheet and starts Ngog (and doesn't substitute him before 70 mins is up) I predict a loss.
Money on it.

Holy shit?! Why would you take out a goalscorer from our previous game, in which we won heavily.. Not only replace him, but replace him with an alehouse clogger who manages to 'get through' a game having only touched the ball 3 times in the centre of the midfield!!

Jeez..

Oh aye, I'd definitely change a team that's just won 5-0. :?

Trouble is, I think he (OC) might though, with one up front again, probably Ngog to start. :fishing:

Not necessarily a bad thing to do. We know that Stoke don't have/use a midfield so the set up is different to that vs West Brom. I'd not be surprised or disappointed to see us start 4-5-1 away from home with a view to a change as the game progressed. It's important not not to go a goal behind early on.

How about going a goal ahead?
