Ten to Twelve Players
So, who are these 10 or twelve out of contact at the end of the season? Is this right...?
1. Jussi
2. Cahill
3. Ricketts
4. Steinsson
5. Sean Davis
6. Petrov
7. Klasnic
8. Blake
9. Gardner
10. Kevin Davies - I think he signed a one year extension in the summer, or was it two?
11. Alonso - he had a 2 year contract I think
12. LCY - unless he signed an extension
13. Knight
14. Robbo
Cahill's moving in Jan and Blake won't be here next season, so that's 12.
Senior players who aren't out of contract in the Summer...
Bogdan
Riley (presumably)
Wheater
Mears
Muamba
Reo Coker
Mark Davies
Holden
Pratley
Eagles
Ngog
At least that's 11 players we'll have next season, plenty of centre mids. Of those 11, only Eagles and NRC is fairly certain to start for us at the moment if fit. You could say there are more players we need to perform week-in week-out in the first list. The second list isn't that scary really if we get another CB in January.

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Re: Ten to Twelve Players
God its a sorry group out of contract.
Out of those lot, Jussi, LCY and Klasnic and possibly Ricketts are the only ones I'd bother with. (Apart from Cahill obviously but he's gone anyways)
The rest, can do one....
Also I suspect very few of them will be actually offered contracts....

So, IF we don't go down this season (which we probably will), we'll DEFINITELY go down next season.

Nope, Coyle will "be able to do a lot with the money saved" just like he did with Elmander's wages we saved......boltonboris wrote:So, IF we don't go down this season (which we probably will), we'll DEFINITELY go down next season.

We definitely go down this season and probably go down next season too.

I don't know whether you're familiar with the concept of saving money, but it generally implies that its money you aren't spending. Generally. In the main. On this planet. Most of the time.BWFC_Insane wrote:Nope, Coyle will "be able to do a lot with the money saved" just like he did with Elmander's wages we saved......boltonboris wrote:So, IF we don't go down this season (which we probably will), we'll DEFINITELY go down next season.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

The ones that will be interesting will be jussi and kev Davies...we surely won't be offering them deals on the wedge they are on now? Both would be ok in the championship I'd hope, though not sure about Davies given his rapid decline.

Re: Ten to Twelve Players
Theres plenty on that list who wouldn't have been offered a new contract if we were in the European places anyway.
Interestingly enough, the former list is full of older players, who will be on larger wage packets. The second list seems to be comprised mostly of younger players. There are obviously some exceptions that prove the rul, but whats the average age of the two lists? My gut instinct is that the second is lower than the first.

No - fcuk them both off, they've had their day - both nowhere near as good as they were, bring in a new decent No1 keeper in the summerofficer_dibble wrote:The ones that will be interesting will be jussi and kev Davies...we surely won't be offering them deals on the wedge they are on now? At least we're not being pessimistic when we're figuring out who should do a math.

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

OD is right, LCY has an extra year according to wiki.

That makes it that the first lot are all 30 or over apart from Alonso. Second lot are all under 30!
