N'Gog looking for top form

Bolton striker David N'Gog admits he is yet to find his best form with the Trotters but he is ready to make that change.
The Frenchman joined the Trotters in a £4million deal from Liverpool in the summer.
However, the 22-year-old has scored just once in 12 games since his arrival and he is determined to start finding the back of the net.
"It has been frustrating because, of course, I want to help the team to win," he told the Bolton News.
"I'm sure before I haven't been 100 per cent fit but I've worked with the staff here and now it's a lot better.
"It also always takes time to settle down with a new team and new team-mates, but I feel good here and I'm optimistic for the future.
"As a team we all have to take responsibility and it may be that we are looking for someone to lead that. But it's one thing to talk, but it's another to do it on the pitch.
"We all have to take the responsibility to go forward. It's not going to be easy and it might be a cliche, but we have to work hard."

Re: N'Gog looking for top form
He needs a run of games under his belt now, its no good for him coming on in the last 15 to 10 mins in games he needs 90 mins every week then we can judge him. We need his pace up front, he has the ability to run in behind any back 4 and holds the ball up has good if not better than SKD. We can't keep playing SKD he has become a hindrance to the team this season, we can't afford to be carrying players in a relegation battle.

"Scored once in 12 games" - he can't have been on for more than 10 mins in most of them

He has started 5 games (not in a row) been on the bench in 5 games, got taken off in the first 15mins against arsenal in the league game because of a head injury so its been start stop for the lad so far.jmjhb wrote:"Scored once in 12 games" - he can't have been on for more than 10 mins in most of them

Re: N'Gog looking for top form
Not sure why he hasn't been playing tbh.... Coyle wants goals.... Davies has scored since City I believe and has played utter shite!

Re: N'Gog looking for top form
This is the frustrating part for me, where selection like knight over stiensson, pratley over moo, skd over ngog or tuncay. I can only justify robbo due to injuries and suspensions.
Re: N'Gog looking for top form
You can justify SKD over Tuncay coz I'm better than Tuncay, and Robbo because, for all his (massive) flaws, he is the best left back at the club (Ricardo, I'm pretty sure he still plays for us, but I'm not sure, maybe he can get a f*cking dim red card to prove it, Gardner) excepted. But generally I agree. The Knight over Steinsson Wheater at RB being particularly baffling, and doing well to stand out.

Re: N'Gog looking for top form
wouldn't it have been reasonable for us to expect him to be ready to play his best football right from the START of the season??CrazyHorse wrote:http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11672/7381264

Re: N'Gog looking for top form
All teams sign new players that a blending into the first 11 when the season kicks off, so you would expect with man motivator in charge that we would be at least no different than any other team.
We obviously are, because we're points adrift.
