Awesome.
So, what makes you think Martin O'Neil would have come to a sinking ship like ours that can offer him virtually nothing, over the club he supported as a boy, on a much more stable financial and league footing with a vastly superior fanbase?

He could be a Sunderland fan on a wind up though!
But you do know a bit about Bolton, so probably not a wind up

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

F*ck of?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I seem to remember, from my younger days, that the club once considered approaching Pele to take over as manager. Could be utter shite, like, but I remember the story doing the rounds.
May the bridges I burn light your way

It was certainly reported.Bruce Rioja wrote:I seem to remember, from my younger days, that the club once considered approaching Pele to take over as manager. Could be utter shite, like, but I remember the story doing the rounds.
I never felt it was likely to be actually true, but it sure was reported in the gold old BEN.

Re: we should of got martin o neil
We did indeed approach Pele Bruce, or so the BEN alleged at the time. I seem to remember a fanzine entitled "We Want Pele" being sold outside the Lever End in 78 ish??
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Lover ungrateful
I blew up your body
But you blew my mind

Takes me further from heaven
