Re: We're hit and we know we are: Bolton vs Jackburn
Delighted with a great win (as all wins are), but as I said after the Stoke game, will only help us if we follow it up with more points V Barcodes/Wolves. Agree with DSB, January looks mighty tough.
Some clothing items are in soak, prior to boil-wash, after that second half.
What Steiner has done to OC, I can't begin to imagine.
There will be plenty of times, I suspect when our MF won't be good enough (they seemed to have plenty of possession 2nd half), but NRC and Muamba should be automatic choices until Holden is fit, they're street ahead of any other combo we can field.
Alonso looked a better option than Robbo.
Can't make my mind up about N'gog. The options for doing things quicker are a clear benefit, but he must've caught scouse sick-note disease from his time at Anfield. How many times has he been injured since joining us?
I shall reserve comment on our management until Boxing Day.

(Dons tin hat) Before or after the game?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: We're hit and we know we are: Bolton vs Jackburn
Alonso, Reo coker, M. Davies, Knight, Petrov were fantastic tonight, we are going to have to start killing teams off we had plenty of chances on the break at 2-0 but the final ball was always too far in front or too far behind but that's how it goes sometimes. I was worried when alonso went of injured because him and petrov were linking up well and causing havoc down there right, i knew robbo would come on and he don't half shit you up with his clumsy challenges and getting caught out of position but we held on.
Knight got man of the match and rightly so. I still can't get my head around Pratley missing that sitter in injury time, glad it didn't matter at the end for his sake!

And Henry Winter's write-up in the Torygraph is great: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... eport.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

First half - I couldn't believe this was the same side I saw at Fulham, second half I could though. Alonso (who passed me after the game on crutches - btw, looked like a foot injury to me as he walked off with only one boot on) and NRC gave their best performances to date, for me. Our support was magnificent from beginning to end, though I'm sure theirs wanted us to score first just so that they could get on Kean's back.
Some of Petrov's balls in just begged to be put in.
Was pretty appalled with the way that Cahill let fat-arsed pub footballer Yakubu turn off him and leave him for dead on the goal - I see that Jaaskelainen was on his knees again!

Despite watching it (on Sky) I failed to take note of who the Bolton captain was.
For me should be NRC, but guessing it was Knight.
Any help welcome.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Oh, FFS.
Robinson was fecking useless again. BTW - does Steinsson think he's playing in a 'free role'?

According to his Twitter he'll find out tomorrow. Absolute shitting bollock crease, you just know it's going to be another eight weeks with Robinson.

Have a feeling it will be a metatarsal.
Seemed to be the top of the foot & a severe limp etc.
Full-backs here are cursed this year .... indeed, the whole squad it seems.
Robbo, who generally I back, simply due to his drive & desire, was shown to be pretty poor by Alonso's performance. Once Robbo came on he was everything we feared he would be.
We cannot cope with him staying there.
Cahill captain ? Slightly odd, as he's so quiet and clearly he'll be gone in a few weeks time.

If the ref was any good Robinson would have been sent off and they might have had a penalty.
He's dreadful, I don't know how everyone else can't see it.
Petrov had a great game, without Robinson to bollock him every 5 seconds, with a full back who overlaps and can pass.
Amazing win, I'm still buzzing! Knight, Alonso, Mark Davies and Reo-Coker were superb.

I heard the commentator said during the match that cahill wants to see out his contract so that he can have more options at the end of the season. So probably he is sticking around for a bit.bobo the clown wrote:Have a feeling it will be a metatarsal.

I can't believe how longs it's taken us to witness a game where SKD doesn't start, but it happened at the right time. Ngog didn't set the world alight by any means, but he can trouble he defence and have then thinking a lot more than SKD can.
Second half syndrome well and truly kicked in, I'm surprised we came away with 3 points! But all credit to the players who for once didn't just turn over and have their bellies tickled, they put their bodies on the line and deserved the victory.
Glad to see some performances out of certain players, especially Petrov. Alonso was great, but the way our season is going you know he's going to be out for a few months at least. Hopefully Ngog just picked up a knock.

Started drinking Guinness and it was going down a bit too easy today but...
Pre-game I questioned no Eagles - maybe he wasn't following the gameplan.
I'd rather put their goal down to a great defence-splitting pass than a defensive mistake.
Why can't we do that every week?
We got the rub of the green, for once.
Still strange seeing Big Sam being neutral/rooting for the opposition.
Cahill running down his contract? No transfer fee = higher wages!

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Let's not get carried away. We now need 9 wins from 22 games to get 39 points.
