Ricketts
Listening to Alan and Jimmy on the radio today, they think Ricketts has been instrumental in our better form. He is steady and keeps the players focused on the pitch, can't believe he is not captain, a natural leader, can play all across the back and reads the game as well as anyone, also a natural pointer and shouter. ???

Re: Ricketts
Yes you can. He's only just returned to the side and Reo Coker seems to be doing a decent job.shoot and score wrote:Listening to Alan and Jimmy on the radio today, they think Ricketts has been instrumental in our better form. Seems to have organised well enough v Everton and Liverpool, also we won today.
Ricketts only just back after long injury and also not assured of his place in team(everyone shouting for new left back) as for Mark Davies, Get real, superb player but nowhere near ready for captaincy.
Keep RC for me, done nothing wrong yet.

NCR won the poll. "End of".
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Who is shouting for new LB? To better rickets in which way? Reads the games, plays all along the back, goes forward.....and tracks back...!

He may well have done, but Sam Ricketts is our best player. Just thought I'd chuck that in, but for me, he is.bobo the clown wrote:NCR won the poll. "End of".

Re: Ricketts
What a difference a previously 'half-decent' player has made.
Said a few weeks ago he was up with NRC for captaincy.
Got no complaints with NRC currently with that armband though. He's earnt it & should stick with it.
Well done Ricks though.

Re: Ricketts
I suggested that a left back would be a good signing but it was nothing to do with Ricketts performances there.I just believe that should Reamstruggle to adapt then Ricketts is the best centre back we have to play alongside Knight or Wheater and I wouldnt want us relying on Alonso who is injury prone or Robinson who is just prone at left back.On paper we appear to have cover at the back but we have 3 dodgy central defenders and a new one and neither of the left back alternatives to Ricletts are reliable.I f we could clone Ricketts and play 4 of him across the back we'd be pretty solid.Sponge wrote:shoot and score wrote:Who is shouting for new LB? Re: Ricketts
He's done well since he came back in but I think the fact that Paul Robinson is absolute garbage has made him look better than he actually has been. Saying he should be club captain is daft, there's only one player capable of having that at the moment and it's Reo-Coker.
