Does present a potential issue with a new contract though. Certainly need to see what the damage is first anyway.

DSB, does this mean that Tutte has left his B team role or just lack of updates?
Oh yeah, him. AFAIK still with us.

This did occur to me. I think we've done it before with recuperating players, and it would tie down an asset. We might however wait a while to make sure he *is* going to recover – much less likely these days that such injuries are career-enders, but we'll want to engage our old friend due diligence.

Really interesting move from the club. Firstly that would indicate his surgery has gone well, but also it tells players we will look after them. Fair play.

Commendable by the club for sticking by him and giving him a 3 year contract whilst he's out for the entire season, however it's quite a financial risk for the club as there is no guarantee that he will fully recover.

I concur. I think it shows the qualities Sharon wants this club to stand for. Excellent move. Commendable.

Done it before I think. Can’t recall who but we have given an extension to a player whose injury was going to keep him out for a hefty chunk of his remaining contract. Might have been Gethin, he’s signed like four contracts with us now.

Good news re Johnston, well deserved. Helps the lad focus on recovery as opposed to worrying about his next move.

Looks good from the club and potentially allows us to keep him on the same terms as he's currently on.

Nice to see he's here a year after Santos. Means we've not got big issues come the end of one particular transfer window.
