why have they included West Ham in there??
I am assuming they are using the latest available club accounts which would be from last season, hence West Ham's inclusion (and Blackpool).

No Birmingham though, or Citeh. :conf:
Citeh are bottom 8)

very true. As you may know, in the day-job we've done a few Rich Lists and the financial scribes left him out because they could quite simply find no evidence of his supposed wealth....

Wow. Bearing in mind who's left and who's out of contract next summer (Holden / CYL), it looks absolutely essential we bounce back at the first attempt.

Also, 4 year contract for Pratley (free) v 3 years for Ngog (£4m) v 2.5 years for Sordell (£2m)???

According to Wikipedia Sordell signed a 3-and-a-half year contract in January so shouldn't that take him to summer 2015?

If Jussi Knight and Petrov are included, that makes a squad of 25.

Which prompts 3 thoughts

.. We don't neeed to bring many more in

.. If we have got rid of 15, what on earth did we need them all for?

.. At Premier League wages, no wonder we are in debt
What goes around may still come around

A squad of 40, and we still couldn't put out a balanced team of 11 for most of last season.

Although I think we're being ambitious to expect all those youngsters to cut it in the championship. Fingers crossed though.

Eagles, albeit not hugely consistent, was one of our best players last season.

Which tells you everything you need to know about the others.

Really don't understand the stick Eagles gets. He isn't as good a player as Chungy, was bought as cover for him for around 1.5m, but managed as many goals and assists last season as Chungy managed in each of the previous 2. Better and younger replacement for Matty Taylor while costing less than the fee we got for Taylor. I guess people had already decided he was crap though, so none of that really matters.

Someone has to be more shit than anyone else.

It was Nolan for a while, then Taylor and Elmander, and on to Steinsson/Knight and now Eagles/Pratley.

Good to spot every time players like this leave, we get fcuking worse as a team.

Contracted first team squad for next season: (Goalkeepers) Bogdan, Lainton, Lynch. (Defenders) Riley, Mears, Wheater, Ream, Ricketts, Alonso. (Midfielders) Eagles, Muamba, Chung-Yong, Petrov, Wylde, Pratley, Holden, Mark Davies, Vela. (Strikers) Kevin Davies, Sordell, Ngog. Jussi Jaaskelainen and Zat Knight still talking about extending their deal.
