Jussi....

Post by BWFC_Insane » Tue May 08, 2012 1:37 pm

Nice words from Jussi here...

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/pre ... manchester" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Especially...
"My team is Bolton Wanderers in the good times and in the bad times too. I feel at home at this club."
Good on him. We're all quick to criticise modern footballers, but thats a great attitude, especially in these testing times.....

It'll be interesting to see whether we're still his club when he's asked to take a massive pay cut.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Do you think we'll even bother asking? As much as I'd like him to stay, carrying Jussi (and even with a pay cut on a considerable wage) as second choice in the championship, is a luxury when we've got other areas that will need improving.....

Not if we get offered good money for Bogdan (IF! we get relegated)

I agree with BWFCi. And LK. (internet explodes)

Bogdan's the present and Lainton/Lynch the (current) future but we could do with an experienced back-up, and Jussi represents as good as we'll get. I certainly would "bother" to offer him a contract, but not at any higher level than we'd offer a passing unemployed Ian Walker / Kevin Poole / Mike Pollitt type.

We won't be offered good money for him yet.

Can't see us selling yet anyways. The whole plan is to develop younger players. We're shedding the older wages off the bill so that part is done.....

Not sure on that one either, chap. The plan is to develop players then sell at a profit. What IF! we got offered £5m...?

I guess there is a decision to make....but potentially they might feel he could inflate above that value.

Bogdan has a way to go.

Mark Davies on the other hand, probably isn't going to get significantly better or more valuable.....

Who, Bogdan? :D

It's often dangled as a carrot, but aren't we already bicoachual with Fred Barber and Coyle's mate?

Would be a decent idea if we could get rid of Coyle's mate for him.

Am I the only one who doesn't 'see' it with Bogdan?

He's decent enough. Still a bit rough round the edges, but I can certainly see his potential.

Constantly parrying shots out into the six yard box. Constantly. Still. Months later. Though in his defence he does train with our coaches. Bet he is ace at kick ups though.

Aye he has his issues does Bogdan. I'm not fully there on him yet. As you say he spills a LOT. And not just shots, crosses too!

Then again Jussi had issues at the start too!

Nice to read.

Green is off to Spurs in the summer on a free (even if WetSpam go up) so BSA will be looking for a GK.
If he offers Jussi similar money to what he's now on and gives him the option to train on certain days i think Jussi would take it.

barring that, i see Jussi with us next year.
he has made his money and a year or two on less money will be better than uprooting his whole (settled) family.
We will see
