I don't see any problem with this, will give us a chance to see what he can do (if he plays).

Stunned. Utterly.
Story was that the Moo would have been one of the over agers until struck with the flu or something. But this is odd.
Anyway, at least he won't be tired !!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Olympic Squad
No issue with it. Happy for Marv, who'll probably be our #9 next season. Gets him warmed up for the new season, when I'm sure he'll make a bit more of an impact for us.
Re: Olympic Squad
This is essentially a U-21 team of which he was a main part of. Hardly surprising.

Re: Olympic Squad
If he plays well, what are the odds on some Premier League club offering something like £10m?
Re: Olympic Squad
How people are surprised in this is beyond me.
He's a regular U21 player who Pearce knows well, not exactly rocket science.
Good luck to him, hope we get to see him play.

Caps is just desperate for us to fail at everything.

Re: Olympic Squad
I think this is not great. Instead of a per season he's of fannying about at the Olympics no doubt not playing. When do the Olympics finish? Will he be back for the first game even?
But even if he is no doubt he will take a month to get match fit leaving us with Davies and Ngog probably for the first three months of the season. And that's if he doesn't get injured running into Micah Richards in training!

Re: Olympic Squad
He's got more chance of being match-fit by playing matches than, er, not playing them.

Re: Olympic Squad
Yeah and how many matches is he going to play? Less than he would in a pre season for us. Quite likely he will be well warmed up for bench warming though!jmjhb wrote:He's got more chance of being match-fit by playing matches than, er, not playing them.

I'm going to the semi, (which is on the 7th of August, final on the 11th, so cutting it fine, should we get there) so I'll let you know a)if he exists and b)how he warms up.

Re: Olympic Squad
Sir Lancelot with set of balls number three presumably. Last used for the team line-up against Stoke.
