I know which forum it was on. If you're sad enough to write poems about the manager then you're probably creaming yourself over all the attention of this anyway so I'm sure he's not complaining.

I've seen quite a few of his efforts ... & they normally warrant sending in the scuffers if only as a crime against the English language.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I can see how he'd be upset if the club told him to sort copyright issues and then they'd sell it. He does, orders a shed load from the publishers and then they say "sorry mate not for us".

To be honest though I cant think how bored I'd have to be before even looking at such a book, never mind shelling out for one

You can read a selection of his work here.

Despite the publicity, I think it's safe to say there won't be a stampede for his book.

You can call it what ever you like but before you do, get a few facts right.

The book has benefited two charities, one the McMillan fund and the other Bolton Hospice. I have made nothing from this book, it cost a bloody fortune to get it published and had the club shop took it, all of the preceeds would have gone to Kev Davies charity.

Had a certain bloke at the club not led me a merry dance nothing would have happened. I did call this guy a cnut, and that is how it was written, that was on WW last November, ( shows how long they have gone back)

When two coppers come knocking at your door asking for me, telling me they have received a complaint about me from BWFC about a poem I wrote,, even the coppers got it wrong and laughed about it themselves.

If BWFC have a zero tolerance then all message boards would be closed down and all of us lobbed in jail.
I wrote to BWFC mentioning this could have been sorted amicably without the need to send an already over worked police force for some petty incident.
I visited the club at their request after they had received my letter.

Seems as if the press have been monitoring this for ages and somehow got my address and number. The Sun are running the story regardless and the pics used are archive from leigh journal and Wigan reporter. Where the MEN got that from is beyond me. they must have used quotes I used in the meeting.

I have been a season ticket holder since 1971 and seen more ups and downs than most. This is the first season I wont have one, not because of this but I`m away a lot and miss more games than I see.

Knock, knock!....

" Good evening sir... it's a warm night,
We believe you've been posting some shite,
We care naught for your ditty,
Cos we both support City,
"No shit Sherlock", just sounds about right.

"We don't want to come back in the morning,
So please just take this as a warning,
It might seem like a laugh,
Don't say cnuts to the staff
Then everything will be all White, all right?"

No offence Den.

Shouldn't you have adopted that approach in the first place rather than abusing the bloke from the club shop on the internet?

I understand that it looks like the club have possibly overreacted.

But isn't part of the problem Denn, that you are posting on that forum involving the pissed up postman and his cronies, who are forever putting the boot into Gartside, accusing him of being corrupt, and believing everything the bankrupt alcoholic ex football agent Peter Harrison says?

Still doesn`t warrant a police visit. Suppose none of the posters give Megson stick eh? plus a few on here already give Coyle some. Freedom of expression is dead.

Look I don't know the details, but was the person you "abused" a publically known figure or not?

Its one thing saying things about a public figure like Coyle or Gartside though that is not without its perils.

However if its some club official who's name is relatively unknown that you've put on a public website, then perhaps that individual asked the club as "his employer" to do something about it, because perhaps they are unhappy it about it.....

I don't know why you're bringing Megson and Coyle into this. As far as i'm aware the problem was you abusing the manager of the club shop online. Repeatedly. What about his 'freedom of expression'? I don't remember him being invited to put the club's side of the story. So far we've only heard yours.
