New official BWFC website
Oh sweet baby Jesus. It looks like a pile of cat puke on a funeral pamphlet.

Whatever happened to simple fecking dropdowns? The BBC's Olympic's site's as bad. Oh, I can't now click on what I was hoping to because I've ran my cursor over something that appears to have thrown a gallon of fecking emulsion all over my screen. AAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGH!

I'm finding myself having to use that, the official Olympics site and Wikipedia all at once in order to work out what the frig's going on.Bruce Rioja wrote:Whatever happened to simple fecking dropdowns? The BBC's Olympic's site's as bad.
As for the official site, I can't see a difference - except that there's nothing on the splash screen. Maybe they're experimenting...?

clear yer caches, boys...
And it's not cat-puke. Believe me, I know cat-puke.
Bit rubbish, though. As though they're trying to cram too much stuff on the page. Poor design.

Not as bad as the last version. But in general most team sites are cack. Bolton's is a little worse, but I only know that because I actually need it occasionally unlike my american team sites.
They do seem to ignore the obvious and go positive more often than most though. (How many more damn years are we stuck with Premium TV? They's had the site since before we got to the prem I just cant remember how long before that?)

New lads must be on a few bob if they have to use Andrex as a site designer to cut costs.

You guys are nuts, the new site looks 100 times better than before!
Re: New official BWFC website
Found an Outlook calendar thingy on the fixture list so it's a thumbs up from me.

Seen a screenshot of it and it looks like it's been done by a school kid on a GCSE project. Luckily I'm still on the old site.

We really are a set of grumpy old tarts who don't like change aren't we?
I don't like it either.

It's the British way. We got a new Worthington's Creamflow pump at work a few weeks ago. It's tall and chrome, the other was short, green, and a bit rubbish. There's been uproar, uproar!

I'd be in uproar if it still dispensed Worthington's fecking Creamflow. Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans!Prufrock wrote:It's the British way. It was a league-wide deal that was signed in 2000ish, god knows how long the contract must have been!americantrotter wrote:Not as bad as the last version. But in general most team sites are cack. It tastes like Parma Violets. Grim.

This. The gradient-faded player images on the left and right are awful and the over-all design is wasteful and badly laid out. That's not to say that it's beyond rescue, if they're willing to make a few tweaks here and there.Gail Platz wrote:Seen a screenshot of it and it looks like it's been done by a school kid on a GCSE project.

I've seen far worse. It's better than the last one - much clearer and cleaner – although those drop-downs need a serious pruning.
