Hull Game

Post by bartontrotter » Mon Aug 13, 2012 4:23 pm

Just thinking ahead.

Anyone fancy meeting up for a post match drink. Would be good to catch up with a few of you once again.

I know one or two of you came here a couple of times. With the Humber Bridge toll being so cheap now it might be a good idea to meet at my local and stay out of Hull Centre.

I will be in the Queens in Queen Street Barton from 11am. Last time we met there the beer was cheap (£2.50 a pint), food was good and the footy was on. Then it's just over the Bridge to the ground. Simples.

Let me know if you're coming and I'll save you a seat.

No, the away game too. Robbo was replaced for J Lloyd because the charlies were baying for his blood. The reception Samuel got was baffling. Like he was the second coming of Jesus..

It all booted off under the concourse on the way out too.

It was that bad Jozy Altidore scored

I still have a scar under my right eyebrow from my last trip to Hull. Boothferry park (?) though. A 2p piece thrown with violent velocity and pot (bad) luck accuracy

Aye, I remember getting bricked by local scrotes that were stood on the traintrack that ran down the back. That was in a nightgame in 85 (?). It was a 2-2 draw. Warren Joyce equalised late on. :oyea:

Nice to get a personal invite from the landlord of the Queens on Queen Street, Barton, just over the very cheap Humber Bridge from the stadium. Wonder if he'll buy us a pint, which will only cost him £2.50.

If so, I'll deffo be there...

Soooooo, moving swiftly on, it's off to Hull and back on Saturday. Don't facy us for it, but it's one we could really do with winning. Failing to would mean we've only won 1 from the first 5 this season which isn't a pretty stat.

No logic or knowledge behind this, and in fact logic would suggest completely the opposite, but I have a feeling, that if we lose at Hull, Coyle will be gone.......

Right, well, let's turn our attention to this then. Mr Potato Head's Tigers also got dumped out of the League Cup last night. 3-2 at Donny. Same as us they've won one, drawn one and lost one. Four points and a GD of nowt. All the hallmarks of an oncoming classic.

Steve Bruce is probably one of the only managers I would consider with less tactical nous than our Owen.

I'll stick my neck out and say we'll win this. Comfortably.
