No Easter home game for us, then
Quietly announced this morning that the Easter Monday home game against Huddersfield has been moved back 29 hours to Tuesday 8pm. In other words, turfed off the bank holiday onto a midweek worknight. Why?

Only thing i can think of is that will be towards the end of the season and maybe they're anticipating we'll be up there, hence hedging their bets and asking us to change so it can be televised if they decide to do so?
Re: No Easter home game for us, then
man utd v man city the weekend after, dont really see much local in the prem on the easter weekend worthy of note
looking at the other fixtures on the tuesday, I think that we will be a tv game as our kick off is 2000, the other 2 games are 1945.

I believe that can be the only reasonable explanation.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Only thing i can think of is that will be towards the end of the season and maybe they're anticipating we'll be up there, hence hedging their bets and asking us to change so it can be televised if they decide to do so?
That or the Vogons are tar-spraying the hyperspace bypass on the Monday.

Maybe that is the projected likely game we get relegated and PG & Co. would prefer a midweek game to lower the numbers & bile ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

you see we will have given up getting any points for Lent, and that game will mark the end of the fast

Don't our home games normally start at 8pm? Nothing unusual there. Not nearly as unusual as Sky deciding one game, six months in advance.jaffka wrote:looking at the other fixtures on the tuesday, I think that we will be a tv game as our kick off is 2000, the other 2 games are 1945.

Paques is French for Easter.
One phrase I remember from school 'Paques et au Printemps' (ish) 'Easter is in Springtime'

I suspect our fitness team think the extra rest following the previous game will be beneficial in turning out our finely tuned athletes at their very best
