Freedman's policy of not using the hair dryer treatment because it doesn't work seems a little tiresome. Just because it didn't work on Freedman doesn't mean it wouldn't work on some other players in the dressing room. I'm pretty sure that Chris Eagles could do with a good bollocking right about now. Eagles and Coyle might have been mates and now he's struggling with Coyle's master plan going pair shaped but it just looks as though the lad needs sorting out.

I didn't mind getting relegated last season because at least we wouldn't have had a repeat of last year but hey ho it looks like I was wrong after all. We're doing exactly the same as last season only a league lower. Not pointing any fingers that's just the way it is. Freedman looks as though he's spotted the cause of the slide and looks like he's trying to address it but whether he's the right appointment remains to be seen.

AT the minute we're not hard to beat and we don't look like being hard to beat either. There's not a million miles between us and the teams we play against but it seems effort is the only thing keeping us down in the doldrums.

I like Freedman and I like the 'sound' of what he's doing, but there is a point when you accept that what is happening simply isn't good enough. We aren't getting points and if this form continues, we will be relegated. That is a scary thought.
He isn't doing well. No doubt about that.

But you can't lose sight of the fact we were running at 1.1 ppg under Coyle, we're currently running at 1.18.

It isn't good enough, but not yet regressing.
During Dougie's 16 league games in charge, we've played five of the teams that have been down at the bottom all season. I'd have expected more of a difference than 0.08 ppg, given that he was appointed to 'get us back on track'.
I think I said that i wasn't good enough.

Yeah, we banged in 10 today without Kevin Davies starting.

I did - as I pointed out to postcode - say it wasn't good enough.

I think effort is there, but mental strength is not. Even at Peterborough they never gave up. Defenders panic and make mistakes or don't read the game and get in positions, that's the problem. The solution is to replace those defenders.

Defeat today was disappointing but hardly surprising given the opponents.

Dougie will be a success here. Just keep yer nerve.

You also said we weren't 'regressing'. Even though we're now nearer to the bottom three than we were last week.

Dougie is managing a team Coyle built, they arent suddenly going to become world beaters, give him time.

We've had a positive window that we're yet to see much from. Dougie is bringing Sordell into the first team and hes doing well there which is another positive step, no we wont get promoted but we wont be relegated either, with more time to turn it around im confident he will do just that.

'Wanderers made one change from the FA Cup fourth round defeat to Everton, with Adam Bogdan returned to the starting line-up.'

This irritates me about freedman though. Lonergan was good last week, give him a chance. Bogdan makes a few good saves but doesn't inspire confidence in me or his defence by the looks of things.

We'd have been in 21st @ 1.1 points per game.

So by that reckoning we should have left Jimmy Phillips in charge because we would have been 14th...

Game in hand against Peterborough. Squeaky bum time for Eddie Davies. Wonder if he's tempted to give Nigel Adkins a call?

Can't see him paying off Coyle....then Freedman.

Personally, don't think we'll get relegated..

impossible surely?? we are conceding FEWER GOALS, getting MORE POINTS per game, are harder to beat, better organised and are training in an ace scientific way...

it'll be reet!

Let's hope we're safe well before the end of the season because we play Leicester, Middlesborough and Cardiff in three of our last four games. Final game is against Blackpool...

Is there a point to this?

The first three are factually correct.

The "better organised" is also correct - we lost 5 out of our first 10 games, we've lost 5 of our next 19 - defensively we're better organised.

The training in a scientific way was commentary from the players.

We're certainly drawing too many.

Over the last 10 games only two teams have taken fewer ppg than us and neither of them is below us...
