Trotters' Ultimate Legend

Post by DLRG12 » Tue Dec 04, 2012 11:27 am

Hi lads,

Big fan of your forums - congratulations to all involved.

My name is Robert Gorman and I am the deputy editor of
http://www.NononsenseFootball.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Your club's section on our website requires its Ultimate Legend!

We are asking all posters on these forums to vote for your club's
Ultimate Legend. The vote will occur right here over the next seven
days when we will collate the findings and add the name of your
official ultimate club legend to our website.

All the contributors to these forums have to do is post the name of
the person they feel is the club's biggest legend in its entire
history in this thread.

The ultimate legend will be a player or manager who has represented
the club at any stage throughout its existence.

I am very grateful for your cooperation to this project as we search
for your club icon that will be listed forever on our new website on
your club's homepage.

Please enter the name of the person you feel deserves the title as
your club's "Ultimate Legend" below.

Many thanks,

Robert

The fxckin' obvious answer that any dimwit should know is obviously Nat Lofthouse obviously, but just to be awkward I propose Owen Coyle can't do it, not even in jest.

Well, I never saw Lofthouse play, so mine's John McGinlay.

See I'm the same... Super John.... Lofthouse is a legend, but one from a different generation.

Dennis Peacock.

I'd like to see us name one of the ends of the stadium after Graham Bell. But it has to be one of the ends ;)

I'm assuming that's because some clubs (like Bury for example) would struggle to think of five legends

Colin Bell, Terry McDermott, Alec Lyndsey, Neville Southall, Bobby Collins.

Not to mention John McGinley, David Lee, Mark Patterson,Tony Cunningham from that period we used them as our feeder club.
