Hard one to call with the obvious Dougie factor.. I hope the lads are up for it.

Re: Palace Game
Don't managers usually do well when they take their new team to play at his "old" team's home for the first time??
Well I hope so in this case.

Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

I certainly recall us lying down for an old manager mind...
Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham
Re: Palace Game
Does anyone have any idea if there's a high chance this game could be postponed due to a frozen pitch? If I remember rightly, Selhurst Park doesn't have undersoil heating does it? I usually play on a Saturday so don't get to see the Whites as much now but was going to get a ticket for this on the presumption that my match will be off. Think I'll have to wait until the last possible minute before arranging train and match tickets though. Will I be able to buy a ticket on the day? I looked on our official site but couldn't see any info on this.

Zaha was injured against stoke last night so hopefully he doesn't make the game on Saturday.

If Butterfield plays that's a good thing surely, will mean they're under strength!

Re: Palace Game
Broadly agree with that team, and that Stu's probably not ready for a start. If Andrews is fit I'd have him back alongside Spearing, with Pratley doing some hard yards in front of them. And yes, Sordell deserves to cement his place - although of course all of this depends on Dougie's bleep-tests.norm the jedi wrote:Think it may be a bit early to chuck Stu in.. may be save him for the plastic scousers...Tals-biggest-fan wrote:If todays game is to go by the team on the weekend should be

Re: Palace Game
Doubt Holden will get ninety yet, maybe forty-five, and apparently Afobe ran his guts out last night. Spearing was also top rated and none of the defence or midfield got bad mention. If Sordell can keep getting the ball in the net it's a headache of the good sort for Dougie.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Broadly agree with that team, and that Stu's probably not ready for a start. I'm already going to be rough as because of a family shin dig on Fri night
Re: Palace Game
Apparently Andrews will be having an op of some sort after the Palace game. Been carrying an injury of some sort. Would of happened sooner but DF has been waiting for players to come back first (Holden/Vela).

Re: Palace Game
hmmmm.... not a TOTAL waste of space as it turns out - it seems he WAS getting the best out of the squad that could be got... he bought badly - that seems to be the case... but if the current narrative is to be believed - then he had the squad he bought pretty much playing to its maximum potential...FaninOz wrote:Err was Coyle a manager or a waste of space???norm the jedi wrote:Aye, Owen Coyle v Burnley?FaninOz wrote:Don't managers usually do well when they take their new team to play at his "old" team's home for the first time??
