(well, it soon will be)
January 13th 1993: Liverpool 0 Bolton 2. The BN is requesting your memories (albeit without a clear entry mechanism, unless you just comment below the piece); you may also/alternatively reminisce herein.

Sadly I was not there, and therefore have no memories to contribute

Wasn't Bruce's nickname 'The Sergeant Major' ?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I bet Mike Marsh still remembers this game. The BEN should ask him for his memories

We came out and some cretin ran up the back of our car on the East Lancs, so didnt get back for last orders
But the game was remarkable and one of the top 10 Bolton games in recent times IMHO. Lasting memory will be the entire KOP clapping off our boys at the end of the game. As I recall, LFC started an award for best away teams/fans, we were given it that year.

One of my favourite games of all time. Had a video of it somewhere. Lee was incredible that night and Double Scotch were other worldly

Also did anyone see the article in The Guardian today about Bradford and asking what have been the greatest giant killing acts of the cup. Surprisingly enough not a single mention of this game. Bearing in mind at the time Liverpool were the cup holder, the season after we beat Everton, Arsenal and Villa before coming unstuck against bloody Oldham

Had the t-shirt. Wore it to school a lot. No one knew what the hell it was about, but I didn't care at all. Wore it till it barely held together.

Thanks for the link TKIZ - gave me goose bumps that. My best night ever watching the lads. Would be hard for todays youngsters to understand how much bigger the FA cup was then and how big a shock our win & performance was.
For those on here who like to indulge in a bit of scouse bashing - YtarmyYtarmy's post and the guy on the Kop applauding Walkers goal should at least demonstrate that when they were at the top of their game, Liverpool fans showed a lot more class than Utd's fans ever would do in the same position.

I missed it. Some tosspot in Sth Wales had put in a grievance and I had to be down thee to sort it out. I listened on't car wireless as I drove up the A49. I was in Hereford when the first went in.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Isn't it that one where, with five minutes left he starts 'singing' at Liverpool 'you're so shit it's unbelievable'? Dave Higson playing a blinder...Andy Waller wrote:Has anyone seen the Dave Higson video of this game? It's amazing.
