The great Nat Lofthouse passed away, how time flies, RIP big man.

Even Mandela and Churchill in London are really pretty crap and the football ones always ridiculous hands or something.

I'm not affiliated to the Lion of Vienna site in any way so I feel no shame in bringing your attention to their special Lofty feature. Heartfelt and attractive (if somewhat in need of a subbing, but then most things are these days), it's a hefty read but worth it.
Re: 2 Years ago today.
£100K plus the cost of the plinth. £35K raised so far, the club is obviously stumping up the balance as it'll be unveiled in August.boltonboris wrote:Still not raised the money for this?? Jesus, how much do they cost?!?!

The sculptor who made that was shortlisted for the Lofthouse statue...TANGODANCER wrote:The Tom Finney one is utterly superb.
