Hope is what keeps us going.
Re: Possible Loan deals
I know a Fulham fan and all he has said about him was that he's a "fast, tricky winger" and was good last season, supposed to be a very good prospect..hope it's not a Kakuta sort of job though. Barkley is also highly regarded at Everton, but I've only seen him once or twice so I can't comment.

Re: Possible Loan deals
Barkley played against us earlier in the season for Wednesday and looked their best player by quite a distance. He's an excellent prospect at Everton, and their fans consider him their best young player since Rooney, though due to injuries, he hasn't been given a long run in the team. On form, he's probably a bit better than Wilshere was when we had him and if he can stay fit, he should end up being an England regular in the next decade or so. He's an excellent young player.thebish wrote:who is Berkley - what do we know about him?SmokinFrazier wrote:Frei and Barkley would be terrific.

I know less about Frei though, but he's looked impressive when I have seen him. He ran rings around Chelsea when I first saw him, and he usually puts in a lively performance. I'm not sure how highly Fulham fans rate him but on the game against Chelsea alone, I'd say he's a much better player than De Ridder, so hopefully he can deliver for us if we do manage to bring him in.

What's better than terrific? Coz you need that for Sinclair. I'd be seriously chuffed if we got him.SmokinFrazier wrote:Frei and Barkley would be terrific.

football manager wonderkid perchance? He looks like a cracking player like, but steady on. He's the one of the three I'd like least, not because he is no good, just because we're really well stocked in central midfield.
Sinclair would be ideal given our lack of width and goals.
Frei I know next to nothing about.

Re: Possible Loan deals
the only area i see a point in getting someone in is keeper, as someone posted earlier ABs out and if lonergan gets injured we're fekked.
Do we need to bring a player in at this point of the season that has had next to no game time. The way i see it is it would take a couple of games to get into things and by the time they're settled they're back off to their club, i personally think we're fine with the squad we have, if any more injuries occur up to the point of the loan market closing then obviously that would need addressing

Re: Possible Loan deals
Usually the idea of a loan is to benefit the parent club, the new club and the player. I can't see us loaning in a goal keeper just to put him on the bench and if we were to loan a keeper in and drop Longeran, it would destroy his confidence.
Re: Possible Loan deals
Boggers is only out for a couple of ganes i think. Not worth it. Anyway our defence is so good we don't need a goalie anymore.

He's an attention seeking idiot. He's like all the rest of 'look at me, I know someone important and am in the know' types. I find it sad that so many hang on every word of them. When every other post related to a transfer refers to him like he is some sort of prophet it reminds me how shit football is these days.BWFC_Insane wrote:I don't get the anger. A national journalist who reports on the likes of us, Wigan and Blackburn, when most are only interested in the top 4 plus Liverpool. I'm not sure he deserves such abuse for doing that.

Re: Possible Loan deals
Not sure if this has been posted from a few days ago?
Sky Sports understands Leicester have rejected an approach from Bolton to take Jeffrey Schlupp on loan.
The Trotters are keen to take the 20-year-old striker with a view to a permanent deal but the Foxes are believed to have turned down the bid.
The Ghanaian youngster has a burgeoning reputation and has recently spent several weeks on trial at Manchester United.
Schlupp scored a hat-trick on his Leicester debut in 2011 but has made just nine appearances for the club so far this season.

Not sure what I think about this one. A month ago I'm sure we would all have wanted Sterling @ any cost
but now.. break up a winning team etc etc..
What do others reckon?
