I'm not up for abusing Kev today. His wag is fcuking poison though.
Re: Davo - Sheff Wednesday
Those wankers on the radio were trying to put words in his mouth. he said that Dougie sat him down (unlike Megson/Campo) and told him he wasn't getting a new contract with 2 days to go before the loan deadline because he thought he needed to be playing. The proximity of SKD's birthday to the loan deadline is not Dougie's fault.
His irritating wife clearly knew in advance he wasn't getting one, so I'd safely assume he had an inkling too.
He's clearly disappointed because he thinks he's still good enough and deserves a contract, but most of us disagree and so crucially does our manager. He never said that Dougie had mentioned testimonials and didn't seem too bothered about that aspect til they started putting words in his mouth, well Adrian Durham did anyway. Darren Gough struggles to put words in his own mouth the thick cvnt. Then they brought on a succession of gullible feckwitts from our fanbase to back up their blatant sh!t-stirring.
As for whinging on the radio I think he'd already been invited on as it was his birthday and England are playing. I reckon the timing of the contract news was just coincidence.
I feel bad for him and wish him all the best but his wife can feck right off.

Agree with this. Well said!
Re: Davo - Sheff Wednesday
I'm speculating here but it wouldn't surprise me massively if his irritating wife tipped the balance in terms of a coaching contract or suchlike. Probably not, but if she's a big a pain in the arse as some say it might have been a factor.

I honestly can't recall so much as one other 'wife of' being known, or mentioned in almost any way.officer_dibble wrote:I'm not up for abusing Kev today. His wag is fcuking poison though.
This mischievous, self-serving bitch has the pitch all to herself.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Its sad cos its spoiling what should be a time for sentiment. I also suspect its why we know now as opposed to the last week or whatever.

I'm not sure how disruptive he is but I agree that we are better off without him, IMO he's been a passenger for the last 2-3 yearsCAPSLOCK wrote:And (apparently) he needs to request one

and has been bloody well compensated for it by the club.
I heard his interview on talksport, and he was a lttle out of order in my opinion. He basically said that he was shocked by being released, and that he thought that he deserved better from the club in terms of not being awarded the testamonial. This is only the club who have paid him a huge salary over the past 10 years and who have made him a multi millionaire.
I don't know who advised him, but he's gone down in my estimation - it's all about him and what he's done for the club, nothing about how well he's been supported and paid by the club over the past 10 years - especially over the past 2-3 years when his carthorse performances have hardly deserved the wages that he's been picking up.

I think it was disappointment and being egged on by 2 sh!t-stirrers. To be fair he expressed disappointment but never said anything openly critical and said the club were being fair in giving him a chance to get a loan move leading to a possible deal elsewhere. I'm pretty sure Dougie would prefer him to stay til may as he keeps picking him and he acknowledged this.Peter Thompson wrote:I'm not sure how disruptive he is but I agree that we are better off without him, IMO he's been a passenger for the last 2-3 yearsCAPSLOCK wrote:And (apparently) he needs to request one

But yes, it wasn't mentioned that before BWFC his early promise looked to have evaporated and he looked likely to plummet through the divisions like Franny Jeffers. Given that he had to do an interview about a game he wasn't playing in when he was clearly gutted and the feeling were raw I thought he was very reasonable.

I'm 99% sure the cash would all go to charity. Plus he wasn't that bothered about the testimonial, far more by the fact he wouldn't be pulling on the shirt anymore and I respect him for that.thebish wrote:for someone so opposed to bankers bonuses - a large bonus to a multi-millionaire footballer takes some justifying...BWFC_Insane wrote:I think he should get a testimonial,
Hope he goes to Sheff Utd, helps them get up, gets a contract and then comes back to the Reebok next season for a great reception.
I know people don't want to see him in another shirt etc but I hope he has another couple of decent years.

Assuming its for his charity. If he wants a testimonial to pocket the money for himself he can get to feck......thebish wrote:for someone so opposed to bankers bonuses - a large bonus to a multi-millionaire footballer takes some justifying...BWFC_Insane wrote:I think he should get a testimonial,

Had his Contract been a week longer, there'd be nothing to talk about regarding Testimonial, so I think it's a bit of owt and nowt. If he has one, and I think he's merited one, people can choose whether they bother to go or not.BWFC_Insane wrote:Assuming its for his charity. Did you make that qualification in the first instance, Citizen Insane? I couldn't be arsed looking by dint of you being such a gobshite, but I doubt that you did.BWFC_Insane wrote:Assuming its for his charity. What he earns is irrelevant, unless I've missed something and he's whinging about money. The bloke loves the place, wanted a new contract, and (wrongly IMO) thought he deserved a new contract. Deserved as in 'was worth', not 'was owed'. It hardly makes him a dickhead!BWFC_Insane wrote:It's just putting it into context. The blokes not destitute. He's been at a club ten years and isn't being offered a new deal. It's football, it happens. He's actually very lucky and I don't see why he should be shocked or 'expect owt'.Prufrock wrote:What the f*ckety feck has that got to do with anything?!BWFC_Insane wrote:http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... s/10314739._/?
Now this won't be popular, but sounds to me like Kevin Davies is throwing his toys out the pram.
Just listened to his talksport interview. Not sure why he is 'shocked'. Surely he could see it coming, his wife's been tweeting about it for long enough.
He seems to think cos he's been here a while he's entitled to a new deal. Try telling that to all the long serving public sector workers who've been booted out without so much as a thought over the last few years. Bet they earned less in 20 years service than Kev did in a year as an average too.
You've been a great player for the club Kev, but don't let yourself down now. It's not like you weren't paid for your work......
Anyway, I'm gutted. Just give him another week on £6.20 an hour ffs.
Anyway for me Caps is just about on the money on this one.
KD and his wife have shown their true colours to me today. Expecting a new contract through loyalty, as though being paid handsomely for 10 years isn't enough.
She will be back to slagging off teachers soon enough.......
There's been a gradual then swift decline over the last 2-3 years, but he didn't keep picking himself, nor giving himself a new contract. He just sounded gutted that it's over, which is understandable, irrespective of his bank balance.

Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Re: Davo - Sheff Wednesday
I don't listen to Talksport and seldom read newspapers, but from the handful of times I've seen him play this season, his time is well and truly up.
Hope he has a long, happy life and when the dust has settled, enjoys visiting the Reebok for many years.
I thought his last contract was sentimental, but that wasn't the biggest issue at the time.

Re: Davo - Sheff Wednesday
He's been told by the club that he can have a testimonial. He just has to submit a written request, which is pretty normal from what I can gather.
His wife is a cvnt. She's the one readying him for his impending interviews where they drag the clubs name through the shit in some quest for martyrdom. It's what she did for a living before becoming a lady of leisure. Some of what he said, she'd tweeted earlier word for fvckin word!!
She tweeted almost 2 weeks ago that Kevin wouldn't be getting a new contract. Yet, we hear this bullshit on the radio. They're fvcking loaded on the back of his wage, yet she uses words like "loyalty" and "stuck in the throat". Did I she mention that she's a c*nt?
Davo would've known that the press release was coming out today, so his Missus had him push the interview back to give it all this "it's his birthday FFS" shit.
Davo is a club legend, but if this charade carries on (which I think it will), then I'll be more inclined to tell him to go fvck himself and find a new club by the end of the week.

Oh and that arse licking wanker from TalkSport was the same prick saying Davo should be suspended for however long Cleverley was injured for and used words like "thug" and "malicious"
