WE are the one & only Wanderers

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

WE are the one & only Wanderers

Post by bobo the clown » Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:57 pm

Well, next up are the fake Wanderers of Wolverhampton.

I always love stuffing these gobshites.

Can we do it, keep up the good run and continue the awful hope we are suffering ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Think it will be a real blood and thunder game, both teams need the win. Bolton tremendous form at home, Wolves in really good form last few games. Think a lot will depend on team who wants the win the most and keeps 11 players on the pitch. ( Purely from a non footballer )

The One and Only's v the Pretenders is alway a blood and thunder affair (memory flicks back to a 5-1 us and the utter joy). Hope the new lads in the side realise the history of this one because we'll really have to be on form for it.

Pies ready for Mavis ?? (the real, original Mavis. The dickish woman who complained about Lofty & claimed to have been hit in the face by a thrown pie. As if any self-respecting Bowtoner would chuck away a pie !!)

And I hope this has put to bed all that pessimistic nonsense and superstition!

They'll miss him as he was hitting a decent patch of form lately and I was expecting him to give Knight a torrid time. 2-2 draw.

Ah, memories. This was the one fixture that got even Cloin Todd excited when he and Mark McGhee got their handbags out over a foul on Michael Johansson.

Plus I remember living abroad mid 90s and my dad sending me a press cutting showing Keith Curle's head bent back at an unnatural angle cos big Ged Taggart's fist was implanted in his face. And we spanked a few times in that decade as this report shows.

50/50 whether ill be there. depends on how much is at stake for the national as I get my bonus pay check tomororrow!

I think we will win, hopefully by 2 or 3 as at this stage in the season we need to look at improving goal difference.

Play offs is unlikely and the £5 I staked on us at 50/1 to get promoted seems like a fiver I wont get back. You never know though, Brighton lose Saturday and we win its all on just 1 point in it!
