Re: Club Rebranding
I wonder how many shirts had been printer with QuickQuid on?
There's no way they'll get this new sponsor on in time for Sundays release date.

This could have been arranged the day after the quid quick announcement. I would even go as far as to say the club probably put a clause in the contract that they had x amount of days to pull out of the deal if the reaction isn't to clever.

Well it's bound to. No doubts the 'protestors' will claim it'll be made up for in shirt sales.officer_dibble wrote:I'll be blunt. If this costs us money I'll be fecked off.
It won't be.
Not even close.
But hey they'll all be moaning again in August when we haven't broken the bank for this years, Jimmy Bullard.....
Re: Club Rebranding
How about sacking the moron who wanted them in the first place....He must be brain dead to think anyone would want to be associated with a loan shark.
Re: Club Rebranding
Do I have to pay my loan back now??

Let's start a 'Bring back QuickQuid' petition.

I think they'll sell more shirts now than they originally would have even before this whole QuickQuid crap.

Re: Club Rebranding
Only Bolton fans could get what they wanted and still bitch and moan.
Good on the club. They made a decision, the reaction was poor, they changed it. I wasn't particularly bothered about QuickQuid, but I can see the new sponsor being well received.
Power to the fans, I guess. Everton have been influenced over their badge, it's happened at Cardiff with their two-tone red kit...

Re: Club Rebranding
I hope people don't start moaning about us not being able to sign people now we've got rid of some income.
Apart from that, I bloody love the new badge.

Re: Club Rebranding
I chuckled at this...
Someone was a little hasty in putting this on the Uni of Bolton website

Re: Club Rebranding
nice idea to replace a loan shark with a local sustainable energy company, but that logo on our shirts will make it look cheap and tacky.

More or less this.Vertigo wrote:http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/shir ... 56249.aspxQuick Quid no longer on our shirts!
I've got to say this is unexpected, and although I didn't have a huge problem with them, I am quite happy with the result!
I wasn't as exercised as many about it (far bigger clubs have WONGA across their tits) but it wouldn't have been my choice.
Just hope the new logo is not an intrusive one.
Meanwhile, I guess, QQ have had the publicity they wanted anyway. A QQ BW shirt will be a collectors item.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Club Rebranding
Oh no, now the bedsheet brigade will think they can change the world...
Still, good reaction I suppose, and a good replacement. I'm sure we'll find out sooner or later how much it cost us, and I would now urge all those who shat and moaned to buy a shirt...

Re: Club Rebranding
the purple place guy wont be back, he played that like some crazy chess brinksmanship with a free advert in the paper.
seemed very "we can get some free PR out of this"
still not sure he ever had an advertisment board.
