Tough start.. We better hit the ground running. Rather play some of the better teams early on before they click. Especially the likes of QPR who will probably have a complete new team.

well yes, that's what fixtures tend to do!

Brighton away just before me birthday. Should be a doozy.

An awful lot in that fixture list that, rather annoyingly, clashes with other things (birthdays, anniversaries, pre-planned trips). However, we're home to Blackpool on my birthday, which should be good.

I was hoping we'd get QPR at home early on. Nice one.

My first thought. On last years record only Derby at Home looks a certain 3 points. Could have done with a Yeovil or Bournemouth at home early doors if one of em is going to be a pushover this season (no guarantee of that either!)

I have a funny feeling Yeovil just might quietly tiptoe toward the play-offs. But this is a very hard division to predict - which makes it difficult to say what's a hard start...

Burnley-Bolton is live – still Aug 3rd, but presumably not a 3pm kick-off. Probably evening rather than lunch as it's not a category-A risk, and there shouldn't be any other TV games to schedule it around (EPL starts a fortnight later).

I may be looking to go to Burnley but it looks almost mission impossible by train from Wokingham with the kick off being put forward, will probably have to stay at a pals house in Reading with a 5:30tart on the cards or face a £20 taxi fare from Wokingham to Reading, the things I do for football.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

It's live on telly. It's also a noon kick off ... in Burnley. Save yourself the bother ... and cost ... and time ... and angst ... and a visit to Burnley.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I went last season and agree with you that it is IMO the worst place to go as a visiting fan in the football league, especially those wooden seats but then I realise that I can get a return train fare £30 with a railcard and the prospect of a great atmosphere. Your both probably right though.
