Adam Bogdan
What do you guys think of Adam Bogdan? I'm a Hungarian journalist, and I'm interested to see your guys opinions on him. I'm still not sure, doesn't provide me with a lot of confidence when I see him play.

Not goid enough, never will be. He "has a mistake in him" every game.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm Sad he got a Haircut
Re: Adam Bogdan
He's not a great shot stopper, plus when trying to catch, he often gets his hands muddled up and gets cofnsued between catching it in front of him, or into his chest. Happened twice today already with relatively catches which he's dropped

Re: Adam Bogdan
Considering the absolute shower he has in front of him most weeks he's decent..
On a par with old concrete legs at a similar vintage... Equally needs to grow his personality and presence a bit ...
Of course he has a mistake in him , they all do? Did ok today after an awkward start.
But I was a goalkeeper for 26 years so I'm happen more generous than some other Internet experts..

Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham

I don't really understand the have-it-in-for-him desperation of many fans... he's perfectly adequate for this division and he isn't even CLOSE to being our biggest problem..

He doesn't help at times though. And contributes to the jitteriness at the back too. Panics a lot in distribution and isn't commanding.thebish wrote:I don't really understand the have-it-in-for-him desperation of many fans... he's perfectly adequate for this division and he isn't even CLOSE to being our biggest problem..
Think his shot stopping is a way behind Jussi at a similar age too.
Biggest problem? No. But far from perfect.

I think just about everyone knows a keeper is not priority but doesn't excuse the fact he's not very good

Re: Adam Bogdan
I accept that. The issue is would we be better with a more solid and calming influence in there? I realise Bogdan is still developing but at times I do feel he makes things worse.thebish wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:He doesn't help at times though. And contributes to the jitteriness at the back too. Happy enough to stick with him for now, but Lonergan has got to be given a chance if needs be.
Re: Adam Bogdan
i'm sure in an ideal world there are not many positions that we couldn't improve and we could say "wouldn't it be nice if..."
truth is, though - we have to prioritise given the lack of cash we have - and Bogdan is not so much a disaster as to place him anywhere near the top of the list of things we would improve first if we did have the cash...
i don't think he's gonna be the difference between promotion and not promotion...

I was more questioning if Lonergan might be a bit calmer.......thebish wrote:i'm sure in an ideal world there are not many positions that we couldn't improve and we could say "wouldn't it be nice if..."

Re: Adam Bogdan
Well, was he any better when we had Dawson? I don't think he was. I think he's 'not bad' - he's neither the best nor the worst. However, he's getting away with handling errors at this level.si2008 wrote:lets face it if we had two centre halfs that could defend. bogden would not be that bad
