Re: Freedman out!
We could actually have a Postman triumvirate of Wayne Foster, Simon Rudge and, of course, the singing postman himself, Jeff Smith.Puskas wrote:He wouldn't be expensive then.Bruce Rioja wrote:Wayne Foster - currently delivering the post around the shitholes of Auld Reekie. Wasted? Probably.
If the Fry/Gregory/Burnett bid fails, we could make an approach for him and Neil Berry. Whatever he's doing now.
BTW, I always thought that we flogged Foster and Berry to Hearts as a pair, but no, we sold Foster to Preston.

Marvellous. We could refer to it as the Post-Freedman era...Bruce Rioja wrote:

I, too, thought we sold Foster and Berry together. Oh well. You learn something everyday. On this occasion, not something I'll probably be able to use much, but thank you anyway.

You're very welcome. I could only think of one possible opportunity for the sharing of such information, and now I've spent it.Puskas wrote:Marvellous. We could refer to it as the Post-Freedman era...Bruce Rioja wrote:

Triumvirates don't always work out though: take Hendrix, Redding and Mitchell. Does anybody even remember Redding and Mitchell, pah.

Er .... yes !!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'd get him in as manager. We've not had a Bolton Legend managing us for a while, now.
Freedman out.

Re: Freedman out!
A lad I knew at uni looked like Noel Redding. I remember him mostly not for this, but for the fact that he admitted doing a number 2 in his sink and disposing of it down the plughole with the use of an upside-down pencil and lots of hot water.Bruce Rioja wrote:Who?Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Triumvirates don't always work out though: take Hendrix, Redding and Mitchell. Let's get this thread back up to the top.
I'll be needing it shortly.

You could have at least had the decency to wait until Monday 11th August, Willy. Do you suffer from premature ejaculations also?Wandering Willy wrote:Let's get this thread back up to the top.

Hopefully he's the first manager to be sacked this season.

Re: Freedman out!
He gets 5 games. That's more than enough to see where the season is going (and yes, I'm including the cup games).
This could just be a blip. It's not very likely, but it's possible. 7 points an absolute minimum from the first five games, or we've surely got to change things.

Re: Freedman out!
Unfortunately transfer window dictates he gets till mid september at least.
I'm not convinced he deserves it (why should he be allowed to feck up the first 3 months again?) but i do sympathise with financial constraints dictating when he can do his business.
If we had lost 1-0 i'd sympathise but the defence looks to have gone backwards again.
