1-in-5 isn't bad, is it? It's Nolan territory isn't it?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Some great goals in that lot.
Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,

Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

Depressingly, I can't help thinking that we'll be looking back on this in a few years thinking "ah yes, they were the days, why can't we have players like him anymore?"
Hope is what keeps us going.

Dunno.

£163m in debt could lead to that very easily !!

We've got to try to keep him! Surely. One of them who actually makes stuff happen. I know he's frustrating, but look at what Lloyd fecking Dyer can do to teams in this league if the set-up is right. After this summer, once he's no excuses for being stuck with the likes of Zat Knight on silly money, it'll be time to judge, but Eagles is one to keep.

I'd be surprised if he stayed this window.

It's clear he and the Maestro don't get along.
There's been a love/hate relationship with the fans.
He must be one of the bigger earners. ... and
He's barely featured this season despite the bigging up he got pre-season.

I know the injury set him back but even once fit he has barely started a match and his heart doesn't seem in it.

I think he's more useful to us than chungy, so I'd rather keep him as well. Just think he's better in this league and has more of an end product. Chungy would play better with better footballers and he wont get that here. Whereas eagles is more likely to make stuff happen.

Still if you were eagles you would be better off assessing options on a free at the end of the season. Plenty of clubs should be able to offer a better wage in the summer tgan us - where turnover is higher. Teams like Forest, leeds, leicester, reading etc. I think he'll leave.

Different player now. Seems to have lost his mojo and the swagger is gone.

pretty agree with above comments - he'd be in my starting 11

obviously don't know about relationship with dougie but the words and actions don't match in terms of using him. As I noted in another thread - he seems to have been told that he won't feature in away games anyway.

The relationship with our support is weird - the barracking of him and applauding when he was subbed, to me marked a real low point - he'd almost single handedly kept us going early last season. Still can't work out if its the united/ coyle history or the 1960s style sexual insinuations.

as you say OD, If I were eagles I'd assess my options on a free at the end of the season. Plenty of clubs will be interested in the lower prem/ upper champship level. Would certainly only go in January if it suited me.

+1

A good manager would not only play him but get the best out of him too. Somebody, probably in the Championship, is going to get themselves a great player for nowt in the summer.
