Dear Dougie - Where Did It All Go Wrong?
The Bolton Wanderers manager has walked the well-trodden path of previous football men with an over-inflated view of their own abilities who veer from club-to-club in the mistaken belief something bigger, better, more lucrative awaits.
Freedman did this when convincing himself Bolton were a bigger club with greater ambitions than Crystal Palace - Where did that get you Dougie?
The same could be said of one of his contemporaries Dean Saunders, who dumped Doncaster Rovers for the bright lights of Molineux and immediately led a memorable relegation charge - swapping division's with his former club.
You can also throw in the one-time ballyhoo'd Owen Coyle, who instead of staying at Burnley and becoming a club legend after delivering the promised land of the Premiership dumped them for Bolton, and we know how that story ended.
Saunders and Coyle are now toxic brands, who will be lucky if they ever get a decent job in the game again and Freedman will soon join them when the inevitable sacking from the Reebok occurs.
Should we really be surprised? After all they are ex-players and we know what a big-headed, mercenary bunch they are and always will be.

In a years time Palace could be below us in the league.
It is football, it has ups and downs. Coyle's problem wasn't moving from Burnley to Bolton. It was simply that he wasn't very good. Had he stayed at Burnley the same thing would have been apparent, it just takes time.

I don't think that the op will engage in any sort of debate or communicate.

He must be bored.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Or got a rather large axe to grind.

Bitterness will just eat you away.

Hey Bobo: You're questioning whether I am bored and you've posted over 14,000 times. Are you kidding me?
One doesn't have to be a Bolton Wanderers supporter to have a pop at Dougie Freedman.
I thought you were all sick of him anyway.
His appointment has been a right disaster hasn't it?
I did believe you could be getting a good 'un when the CPFC legend joined your club, but in reality he simply rode the Wilfried Zaha wave all the way to the Reebok.
He will not be there a year from now.

It's done now & maybe you should move on. You seem to be acting like an ex-wife who's never quite got over the fact that your other half took a good look and decided he'd be better off elsewhere.
You're in the Premiership after the divorce so you did OK out of the settlement, so toddle off and try not to slam the door as you go.
