The Bourne(mouth) Ultimatum

Post by bobo the clown » Sat Feb 01, 2014 5:22 pm

It's currently 2 home league wins sins April at Fortress Reebok.

After Bournemouth, what will be the game's Legacy ?

Will we show our Supremacy or will Freedman get an Ultimatum ?

What will be our Identity ?

Image

I know what is in MY crosshairs .... & it's Scotchish, has an issue with eye-to-eye contact and uses contradiction as his major weapon.

We are staring down the barrel of a relegation gun. Barely a fit forward with a first team game behind them available. Not a left-back in sight. A 25 man squad consisting of about 20 midfielders.

If Freedman can't conjure a win from this match, admittedly against mighty opponents like Bournemouth then he will have to fall on his sword.

No worry that he hasn't got a sword, I can provide one. No matter that he doesn't habitually fall on things, I'll push the fckr.

Truly win or bust.

Didn't we have a similar thread title for the away game?

We'll beat Bournemouth.

He will say something along the lines of "told you so, you thick f*ckers, I'm ace" or somesuch.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

If we did then I may have to alter it for some convoluted equation.

Though I don't expect much fruitful discussion here. Mostly Dougie out, etc.

Bobo, is this an actual match thread or a thread about if we don't beat Bournemouth he's gone thread.

If the latter win or bust its ridiculous, how on earth should beating 'mighty' Bournemouth at home mean that he keeps his job....a few months ago it was Yeovil at home as a test of Freedman.

Has it really come to this that we are measuring ourselves against the likes of Bournemouth & Yeovil, and expected to get beat by Ipswich, Reading & QPR

feck me we really are in free fall without a pot to piss in.....

you are obviously mellowing LK, given you are giving him to at least the bournemouth game. Thought you would have been organising an immediate march on the reebok :)

Are you hinting our beloved leader is suffering Bourne-like amnesia coupled with delusion Bobo? Every weekend is an Osterman one right now and, unless things change drastically, The Road to Gandolfo is all that will be left for him.

Unfortunately, yes it has. It's not a test of Freedman - we already know he's dodgy (to put it lightly). Nor is it a test of the players - we already know that the majority are shite, and the rest are terrified of getting it wrong.

This game is win or bust because we're in a relegation scrap, and we're at home. And we're expecting to lose to Ipswich, Reading and QPR because of two things - they're fighting at the other end of the table, and results over the past few years have sapped all the hope out of us.

This is where we are, where we deserve to be. I don't want Freedman in the job, I'd be happy to get rid of half the squad, and I think Gartside should go too. But we're out of cash and out of time. The only thing we, as fans, can do right now is try out best to get behind the team, and hope that positive energy and support can improve things, if only marginally.

The All-Bran Seer is back. He says we draw, Freedman keeps his job and the misery continues.

Our team hath been forthaken.

Think we'll this one. Not an easy game (when did we last have one of them?!) but we should have enough to nick it

2-1 win (provided we score 1st)

The hex is well and truly on the club.

We'll lose.
He'll stay.
We'll be just above relegation.
