Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
Today's Twitter rumour (which I believe was in the Sunday People) is that Norwich want to do a swap deal for Chungy which would see Anthony Pilkington on his way to us.
Kind of feel we'd be getting the better deal with this one.

↑↑↑ Simply not possible. That'd be one in and one out. Against our principles that is.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I believe all twitter rumours.
Also, I never edit posts in a misleading way.

i've never heard of anthony pilkington - should I have?mcflykyle182 wrote:Today's Twitter rumour (which I believe was in the Sunday People) is that Norwich want to do a swap deal for Chungy which would see Anthony Pilkington on his way to us.

you have to wonder that with dougie bigging up Mavies - and dannzy#1 - and feeney - chungy might be a bit redundant anyway...
if he's a saleable/barterable asset - then go for it..
what should i know about pilkington, though?

He's a wide midfielder who I recall scored a few goals in the prem including winners against us and United.
I've always been impressed when I've seen him play but having a look on the Norwich forum they say his name can't be thought of without thinking injury.

More likely to hit a cows arse with a banjo than chungy
Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
Would be delighted to see us swap Lee for Pilkington, the Norwich fan at my work reckons he has been one fo their best players for the last few years.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Not sure why we're keen to part with Lee. He's one of our few quality players.

Pilkington ( or Polonium as my phone would have him) was v highly rated at Huddersfield but injury prone (Danny Ward when he went there initially was cover for him). Fit, he'd be a cracking signing, but I'm not convinced by his injury record. One of Norwich's own bearded crew.

What was his return last season? 1 goal and a few assists?

By "radio football" I was referring to myself, not B.W.F.Ci. I thought that was obvious.thebish wrote:you say he is - BWFCi says he's not - why is BWFCi "radio football" and not you??? both of you simply expressed your opinion equally forcefully.TANGODANCER wrote:Sorry, forgot myself. Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
TD you will struggle to find many Bolton fans who feel Lee has done anything of note over the past few seasons. Since his injury he's been pretty hopeless. It's a fairly universal view and one that I don't think is that controversial. Some might argue he has a chance to recapture previous form but it looks increasingly more doubtful.TANGODANCER wrote:By "radio football" I was referring to myself, not B.W.F.Ci. Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
I'm hopeful that there's still some mug out there that'll give us top dollar for Chung based on previous form. On recent form he's been nothing other than largely ineffective.
