The wild wild west! - Yeovil away 22/03/14

Post by danhorwich » Sat Mar 15, 2014 8:01 pm

So next stop Yeovil for what will surely be a difficult trip down to Somerset for a game which realistically is a must win. To top it all of Yeovil is in the middle of numb f**k nowhere with the nearest station being 3 miles from the ground. So come on then who is going, im sure our Devon contingent will be going, I certainly will and from what I hear HMX and MaxJMay will be as well. If any of you do come from the north west then I will take my proverbial hat of to you as it is a seriously long way and in my opinion will end in defeat. Drop me a PM if you are going.

Bish is going. He's gonna want to believe you exist this time Dan. No more doing a runner at the sight of us.

I didn't see you, I did see Pru walk in the pub at QPR but not you two. I have met a dozen members of the forum and yet Bishop still dosent believe I exist :oyea: . I will be meeting HMX at about 11:30 at the station and will be on the terracing and will intend to meet anyone and everyone who is going from the forum. I can even tell my story about how I ended up in a dust bin in Derby.

Bish ? Bish ?? Who is this Bish you speak of ??
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Just because I did a couple of spells at Royal Naval Air Station, Yeovilton, which has a fantastic museum by the way, I'm going for a rapid climb out followed by level flight, 1-3 to us. 8)

Heard we've sold nearly 1,200 tickets for this one which is a) quite impressive given how far it is and b) a bit surprising because thats about as many as we took to Leeds.

Nothing less than 3 points here.

New ground is the only possible reason.

That and a big turnout from the West Country Whites, who seem to be large in number if this forum is anything to go by.

Considering driving down for this one myself if there is any tickets left. Anybody done the drive before? Is it straight forward motorway or lots of A roads and country roads etc?

It is not even possible to do it in a day from Bolton by train, you can only get back as far as Stockport.

M6, M5, A358, A303, A3088 and a fair few roundabouts from the A358. The area is famous for roundabouts. Might do it in about 4 hours. Be a bugger of a drive back though unless you're staying over. Never liked the M5. 8)

Going to this one, normally pick a ground a good distance away for a Jolly Boys outing, so we're staying over, like Dan said, part of the reason is a new ground. If we don't win, next years season ticket may be in question ?
