I've got ten on Riga mortice - Charlton (A) 18/4/14

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Guitars & drums in church !! ffs :hang:

You're supposed to be fckg miserable in church.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Never been so uncomfortable in my life as when I went to a happy-clappy, singalong, musical service where people hugged and high fived at one point.

That'll be because

1. You're not a Christian

2. It's not what you are used to church wise and

3. You're old and miserable ;)

We don't do high fives and hugging at my church, we do however meet in a school hall - shock horror! ;)

Ditto Bobo. I thought I'd interupted a lottery win celebration. (I'm confessing it was a fair while I'd been absent without leave.) Cate Blanchet quote from the latest Robin Hood film......"I prefer an empty church when I pray!" Me too Cate, me too.

Whoa! Let's just hold on a doggone minute, my friend. Tradition dictates that this thread must be called "Into the Valley". Nothing else will do.

Saw SLF there too about six months later.

Empty churches are intriguing things, as Philip Larkin noted...

Apparently Peter Parker's birthday is in August, hopefully that wont mean missing a game. Bruce Wayne is in Feb.

And I've no doubt that your opportunities are endless. Today a church, tomorrow a carpet warehouse. Unto each their own.

I'm half gutted. Quite fancied this one, but New date means I'm in sunny Portugal instead. Looks like a ride out to Donny instead.

Oh crap. That will stuff the Bish up and he has already bought his train tickets :(
I should imagine 3-0'clock in the afternoon of Good Friday would be a no-no for him anyway? Somewhat insesnsitive organising.

Do the United Reformed Church do a Benediction TD? I thought it was just us.

Are they those chosen ones? Thought that was another bunch – the Little-Endians, is it?
