Booze after the boos against the Blues ? 3 May 2014
Anybody fancy a snifter after the Birmingham match ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'll be having one or two sniffs of the barmaid's apron (as it's my birthday) but not in Bolton.

Yes. I'll also be at Scott's bar from about 10:30 before the match. (It's open at 9 if you're really keen.)bobo the clown wrote:Anybody fancy a snifter after the Birmingham match ?

I'd be up for a swift couple or so if we could go to a place with half decent beer. I realise that rules out pubs and bars near the ground. Last season required queuing for about 20 mins to get a pint of barely drinkable...

Let's get a feel for how many and who then I'll do some work on the where.William the White wrote:I'd be up for a swift couple or so if we could go to a place with half decent beer. The benefit of the ones by the ground is that everyone is there.
If all willing are up for a 10 minute journey we can easily enough get into Horwich.
But let's see when we have a few responses.
Happy birthday, btw Will.

Include me in. I'd rather travel a little and get away from the ground, but coke tastes the same anywhere.

There's a pub further on than Barnstormers on the left hand side. Can't remember what it's called for the life of me but that's maybe worth a go.William the White wrote:I'd be up for a swift couple or so if we could go to a place with half decent beer. If you are on about the one further down before the bridge it is no longer a pubBruce Rioja wrote:There's a pub further on than Barnstormers on the left hand side. Turning it into a house now by the looks of things.

Well, nonetheless, we could just barge in. They must expect it, buying a former pub.ChrisC wrote:If you are on about the one further down before the bridge it is no longer a pub

If they are doing the 'lap of appreciation' after the game I'm very likely to stay for that.
I don't know why exactly, but I just am. If others are starting earlier I don't mind joining later.
