Below is Bolton's current pre-season schedule: (Thanks to Burnden Aces website)

10/07/2014 - Brondby v Bolton Wanderers
13/07/2014 - FC Vestsjaelland v Bolton Wanderers
16/07/2014 - Mjallby AIF v Bolton Wanderers
18/07/2014 - Macclesfield Town v Bolton Wanderers (19:45)
22/07/2014 - Rochdale v Bolton Wanderers (19:45)
25/07/2014 - Tranmere Rovers v Bolton Wanderers (19:45)
30/07/2014 - Port Vale v Bolton Wanderers (19:45)
... & none of the "results don't matter" shite we've had the past three years. I know they actually don't but you want these matches to be building to something other than abject shite.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm basically pro-Dougie but that last pre-season was rubbish! Looked like one of Sven's England friendlies. Boo!
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

I went to a pre-season friendly at Lyngby in Copenhagen in 2000. Very enjoyable after a wee trip to Cristiana

Undefeated! Take that Europe! And Scandinavia, you liberal-loving, smorgasbord loving, porn aficionados!
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

A middle aged man like yourself in the company of other middle aged men, doesn't sound too pervy to me?

I like going to Pre-season games, shame they're all night matches and it'll be a rush to get out of work and get down there.

And, if they're anything like us, they'll completely overlook the fact that people will be turning up straight from work and subsequently unfed and have not nearly enough food on sale.
