The performance next week is key. If they look a tad heavy and disinterested then the ibiza trip was a shocker. If they come back regenerated then great. It's amazing, isn't it ? I wonder how some people don't simply forget to breathe sometimes.

I don't understand it at all, but the fact is the club is in huge debt (to whoever). They are spending 100m on this new development. The chairman has not been sacked. Nobody seems to be in a panic. Those who run the club seem happy for us to get relegated this year.

Logic does not come into it. There has to be some hidden agenda.

This isn't meant to be a dig, but I don't get it when people start talking about the debt saying, 'I don't understand it at all but...' Then drawing nuts or pessimistic conclusions.

It's a combination of a very rich man (by our standards) writing off a bit of money for his football team combined with a bit of tax planning. He's not that rich by football standards though, so has clearly given up on writing off any more of his fortune. Club is now left as far as possible to its own devices. That's not the same as hoping to be relegated, though they're clearly only hoping for promotion rather than planning for it.
