Re: Owl we get on, on Saturday?
I think you're right in the middle sentence. He seems to have a Megson-like ability to pull out a result just when it looks like he's had it, thus prolonging the agony. On that basis, I'm going 2-1 to us.Lord Kangana wrote:I think its fairly easy to predict that we'll be shit.
Its less clear whether that will lead to any sort of result. Dougie seems to have an unerring ability to pull us to merely hugely disappointed from absolutely disastrous as regular as clockwork.
I don't think we'll win. I don't see us losing. We could easily do the latter. We should really be aiming to do the former. It'll just be enough ammo of "if only's and might've beens" to fend off imminent departure.

We'll win, of course. Inspired by the England victory, Craig Davies will have visions of wearing his country's colours and will bang in a hat track for the Whites. Twas here you heard it.

I'll get up in the middle of the night for the feeds. Just give me an excuse, any excuse, not to go to the Macron this Saturday. This is your poor old dad, pleading with you. PLEASE!!!'William the White wrote:Anyone want my ticket?

Well the Ludlow food festival beckons the bobo household. Damn & I was so looking forward to the match as well.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Only £8.50 pp for a single day. Weather good, so should be extremely pleasant. I can get there on the train inside an hour for less than £10, so can test the drink as well.EverSoYouri wrote:Ludlow food (and drink?) festival? But if you insist on watching a Trotter-less Bolton Wanderers then so be it.

Is it Ludlow or Leominster that has the good restaurants? I always confuse the two. Sounds a feck site better a do that an afternoon at The Big Mac anyhow.

I like that the match thread is now a Time Out / What's On guide for other things to do.

Re: Owl we get on, on Saturday?
I'm going - muggins that I am - despite my incredulity that it's a CATEGORY A game. I know there is only a slight difference in price between a B and an A game, but I'm at odds to explain how Wednesday, a below average team last season, are considered category A, whilst Derby, play-off finalists and a very good side, are only category B. Okay, maybe we can argue that it's down to how 'big' the club is. But that still doesn't figure because they're both as big as each other.
Anyway. If we can get Spearing, Mark Davies and Garvan into the midfield somehow, I think we will be looking much better. Especially with Feeney on the wing. I'll say a win for Bolton.

Re: Owl we get on, on Saturday?
Maybe 'cos Wednesday are northern, whereas Derby are middleish?
Last season there were 14,200 on for Derby and 17,100 for Wednesday, although we played Derby midweek.
Previous season we had 17,000 for Derby - but it was the first home game back in the division - and 22,000 for Wednesday, but that was Boxing Day.
I dunno, maybe we're trying to understand why monkeys throw shit at walls.

I think so. Just like whenever we try to understand anything about what goes on at BWFC (including Dougie's tactics).Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Maybe 'cos Wednesday are northern, whereas Derby are middleish?
