Shopuld BWFC sack Freedman now?

Post by Dave Sutton's barnet » Sat Sep 27, 2014 9:53 pm

Enormous game on Wednesday. We play at managerless Fulham, who came from behind at Birmingham to win their first of the season and are now just a point behind us. Lose that and there's only Blackpool keeping us off the bottom.

So should the club end Dougie Freedman's contract before that game?

Or should he be given that game, and Saturday's home fixture with Bournemouth, to save his bacon? After that Bournemouth game, the October international break means a two-week gap before our next fixture.

Or, and I'm asking this just to check there isn't a terrified quiet part of the electorate out there, should he not be sacked at all?

Poll closes in 3 days, so I suppose Tuesday evening.

Immediately, absolutely no point in prolonging it any further.

We don't normally sack our managers until the Monday. Nothing is happening until then.

Tonight please.
And replace him with someone who actually has an idea of what to do in situations like this.

Y'know, like we should've done last time.

He needs to go, but it'll be 4uckwittish in the extreme not to have first lined up his replacement.

Clock is ticking. Fulham has not just a season defining, but an era defining feel about it.

I'm worried if he doesn't go.

Doesn't that mean we restrict ourselves to the currently unemployed? Course, we could tap someone up - worked with hiring Sam - but cast the net as wide as possible, I'd say.

It feels an awful lot like we - by which we effectively mean Gartside - had someone in mind for the last three appointments and frankly I'd rather we gave ourselves the best options possible.

In the meantime, Jiminho can mind the shop, assisted by Didsy and frankly anyone else that's hanging around - not a long-term strategy, but it's not a long-term job. Huuuuge game Wednesday, and I can't help but think a new face might help.

Russel Slade will be Cardiff's next manager. So no!

Yes, but this is a short-term poll.

Yes, which I've alluded to re Allardyce/Notts County, but that may trigger expensive legal proceedings, which we could do without.

OK, so how are you hoping to bring in a worthwhile candidate without incurring expense?

We already incur the expense of Jiminho. It's whether we could get away with a "constructive" by making him Director of Football or suchlike...
