<phew>

If, in every game under Neil Lennon, we keep a clean sheet, face 10 men, have no goalkeeper in the opposite nets, get a penalty, win and go up a place, it's gonna be an interesting time!

I'm sure that said "Penalty!" a minute ago...

Not even against a proper keeper - hang your head in shame Cravies... :-(
Aye, it did. I went away to make a brew and my stream got stuck, so I was about two minutes behind everyone else. I optimistically posted "penalty!" and we'd already missed it by that point

A much better performance from us, nice to keep a clean sheet and great to hear the fans like that again.

excellent. My stream was a good 4 minutes after the thread/live so I watched the penalty without knowing what happened. Blimey Craig ... you're normally shit-hot on them.

Anyway ... good stuff. Dominated. Moxey & Pratley maybe found out .... though Pratley did his usual "lot of running about".
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

One off the minus 13 GD - good start.

Who's managing at Charlton, Mjallby or Parker. :-)

Don't know how we performed but I'm buzzing that we've finally picked up 3 points and a clean sheet.

However, what's the deal with a manager being sent off ? Does he get banned for the next game ?

Just for the game that they are at unless it's violent conduct or anything else worthy of an FA Charge.

Happy Wanderer tonight.

I guess (hope) he'll have learned a lot from that and will work on it - but - how fecking ace to be learning but also WINNING!!

taking it in the corners - running down the clock... being hard to beat is certainly one of the steps we have to take!

GO LENNONY!! :oyea:

Some facts:

Only our second clean-sheeted away win since Boxing Day 2013

Mills's header-from-a-set-piece was only our second away league goal this season, after Mills's header-from-a-set-piece at Brighton

That goal stopped us having four successive goalless league trips for the first time since Mar 2012 (MU-Norwich-Chelsea-MC); at this level, we had five goalless league trips in six during Rioch's second season - at Portsmouth, Wolves, (Southend), Millwall, Derby and Stoke.

Stayed quiet during the game to avoid any misunderstandings due to my stream being god knows how far behind-BUT a good result, Great start Lennon! Shame about the missed penalty, lucky it didn't come back to haunt us in the end. Looked like we closed down and chased a lot better today than I have seen for a long time, Winning headers kept us in possession when we needed it. A scraper of a one niller but I'll take it. Onwards and upwards.
It ain't easy, Sleazy even, Deceiving those we, Believe in.

Good stuff. Was expecting a defeat so over the moon with a win and clean sheet. Right now I just want to see us out of the relegation zone, so not thinking any further ahead than that.

Watched the stream and the players looked a lot more confident, maybe cos they're all organised and know their jobs now. Chungy looked great in the middle and controlled the game for me. He's played there for Freedman before, but didn't seem to have the same impact.
... of course I may just be talking bo11ocks

I guess three shots on target is better than some games I've seen recently. Thought we might have shaken it up with some subs a little earlier.

Positives - They looked generally fired up, interested and a little more assured - more than the previous few games. Clean sheet, although that looked in no small measure down to some fine saves from Lonergan. More possession than the opposition.

Negatives - but early days - still looked very lacking in the final third. Chungy I thought did ok, but hardly a huge threat and not sure he created many huge threats, Beckford was, well, Beckford...VELA didn't get on! #Vela

Better. I watched only part of the second half via the stream but apart from Pratley, the passing and movement seemed much improved and there was certainly more determination from most of the team.

I have also concluded that Pratley and Moxey have shown themselves to the new management team to be unable to rise to the challenge. There will probably be some experimenting with the forward line-up over the next few games to see what works best. It's just a shame that CYL doesn't seem to have the balls to finish his runs by going into the box - it almost seems as if there is an invisible force field which prevents him from being a bit more direct when he gets into a goal scoring situation.

A few more adjustments and more confidence from the forwards and we should start to climb the table fairly quickly.
